I've traveled here quite a few times and found it to be old and dirty. Sadly, it doesn't seem to be improving. On my recent visit the guestroom was generally fine, but the bathroom was just gross. There was clomps of hair on the dryer, the showerhead looked corroded, the shower curtain had some filth on it that looked like... More

We were there for the Pittsburgh World of Wheels, and this was the host hotel with a special rate which was very substantially discounted, from $200 a nite, however, that's where it ended. After that, they just "nickel-dimed" us: Parking is $20. a day. Room service has an extra $2.50 delivery fee added, on top of the tip (that's what... More

You know what? This is a fantastic hotel, except one thing. It smelled like bad body odor. I asked them to put air freshener in my room while I went out for dinner. It did not help. It was not my room specifically that smelled, but the whole floor. Anyhow, I got used to it, and slept okay. Other than... More

A fairly average Westin with a decent room. The bathroom didn't live up to Heavenly standards with old fixtures. Worst part is the tub didn't drain well so I enjoyed a shower with water up to my ankles. But if you're in town for business and are Starwood its a great location. More

Hotel and location were fine (although not quite as nice as some Westins), but the gal at the front desk (Stephanie G.) was the most condescending, rude clerk I have ever encountered at any hotel in America, and I stay an average of 40 nights a year. Brought the issue to the GM after my stay and he was very... More

The good: The hotel is in a great and convenient location -- right downtown and next to the convention center. The hotel has a nice gym and a sauna/steam/jacuzzi. The locker room is also well stocked with amenities. Awesome bed and pillows! The bad: Not upto a 4 star hotel standards. The hotel can use some more cleaning staff. Being... More

One night stayover for a wine diner at the Carlton. Very nice room, good shuttle service to and from dinner, very good restaurant on site. All in all a pleasant stay....would return. Got great Internet rate so it was a decent value. More

Overall a good hotel, centrally located in downtown Pittsburgh. Points to call out: 1. Breakfast is not buffet style - order off the menu is the only option and some of the staff are somewhat robotic and dificult and understanding any request that strays slightly off standard 2. Rooms/decor starting to look it's age 3. Gym - currently undergoing refurbishment... More

I had to stay overnight unexpectedly and so I hadn't researched hotels in the city. I just walked in from the nearby coffee shop. Happily I enjoyed my stay very much for it was very relaxing, the bed was really genuinely heavenly as promised, the furnishings were comfortable and the room was very quiet and large. There was free wi-fi,... More
