The hotel and attached hall are beautiful and historic buildings. The hotel has winding staircases (note that are no elevators in the hotel), bay windows, and turrets that capture that feeling that hotels should be more than just 20 stories of space optimized rectangles. The Grand Hall is particularly nice with high vaulted ceilings and more stained glass than the... more

A converted priory on a quiet street, on the North Shore close to downtown and the baseball/football arenas, The Priory is beautiful, quiet and friendly. The cost of the rooms is not high, and includes wine in the evening, a nice breakfast buffet in the morning, and a free shuttle to downtown Pittsburgh. If you want a glitzy new hotel... more

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Priory. First I would like to say that they gave us a generous Military Discount, which was very kind and very much appreciated. Second I would like to say that the renovation and decoration of this old building was very well done. The public areas are decorated in period... more

I stayed at the Priory while visiting Pittsburgh for a friend's wedding. The reception was held at the Priory, and the setting was exquisite. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the rooms are elegant yet comfortable, and the city is not far from your door. When you want to break the mold of the chains, this is the place. I've... more

The hotel was very beautiful. The hotel staff was very accomodating and ready to help us whenever we needed. I only wish the weather had been nice enough to use the beautiful courtyard that we could see from our windows. I would love to stay again! more

My husband and I were planning an overnight business/leisure trip to Pittsburgh and looking for a B&B. We were striking out with the B&B accommodations (too expensive, no availability, etc) when I found The Priory online. We always prefer to stay in B&B's, but the Priory looked quite beautiful and intriguing so we took a chance. We were completely delighted... more

It is a one of the cheapest hotels in Pittsburgh. Close to PNC park, museums and Heinz Field. It is very beautiful inside. The location is okay, could be better. I would stay there again. more

If you're passing through Pittsburgh and want to stay somewhere unique, a little off the beaten path, but in easy walking or driving distance to other parts of town, The Priory is a great option. It's a lovely and historic building on a quiet street on Pittsburgh's North Side, near the stadiums and downtown. The rooms (or at least ours)... more

We live 30 miles from Pittsburgh but like to go there for cultural and athletic events, and shopping. We chose The Priory because it was handy to both Heinz Hall where we were walking for the Pittburgh Symphony Orchestra concert on Friday night, and it was handy to PNC Park where we were walking for the Pittsburgh Pirates game (Pirates... more
