I was here for a conference at Duquesne University. Hotel is very close to campus and you can walk there. Penguins were playing and the lobby was jammed with beer drinking fans before the games as a radio station did a remote secession. Parking is not a hassle if you valet, but that is $24.00 a day. The hotel is... more

This property has great service through and through. Our room was clean and well maintained. There is a restaurant in the hotel lobby and it is close to many businesses as well as Mellon arena. The concierge lounge is surprisingly one of the better ones I have encountered. Both of the employees who were there in the evening and in... more

The hotel is quite old, an although the staff is friendly it is not the sort of enjoyable hotel I expected. The pool and exercise room is pretty good, but the rooms themselves are sub par. more

We checked in to this hotel Thursday, December 4, 2008 because my husband had an interview in town. We booked a reservation via priceline for $52 (plus $15 tax). The location was decent if you need to be downtown, and the lobby and room were very nice. The staff in the hotel was OK. We would have probably given the... more

First off, the room isn't the cheapest one around, but you're paying to stay directly downtown. We wanted a place to stay for the Penguins home-opener, and this hotel was the cloest one around. It's diagonal from Mellon Arena and will be directly across from the new Concol Energy Center. There's a Starbucks downstairs, and a parking deck connceted to... more

I paid $60 for this room on priceline.com. It was worth every penny and then some. The staff was pleasant and helpful and the rooms were clean. Stayed there for a ball game at PNC. They had a free shuttle to the park before and after the game. You can walk to PNC in 15-20 mins. Hotel is across the... more

Someone on Tripadvisor mentioned "renovated" but not from what I saw. Compared to other Marriott hotels, my room was below average and worn but got what I paid ($134/night AAA w/free Internet.) Must be better options in downtown Pittsburgh. more

This was the overflow hotel for an event I was attending at the Omni William Penn. Location is good, but I can see why some perceive it as otherwise - it is a very quick walk to almost anything downtown and about 30 seconds of that walk is on an overpass over the highway. Right across the street from the... more

I stayed at the Marriot City Center this past weekend. I was in town for a few baseball games, all though this hotel isn’t close to PNC Park it provided a great home base for everything we wanted to do in the city. The hotel itself is fairly big with a nice little lobby. The hotel has a restaurant and... more

We were staying on business and the location was chosen for us. This isn't a great location because on a weekend, there wasn't much to do within a safe walking distance. Now if we were going to an event at the arena across the street - my opinion about the location would change. The rooms were typical hotel rooms with... more
