We met friends there from NY and frankly didn't know what to expect. It turned out to be a complex of period buildings with bedrooms in them. The restaurant was housed in a beautiful renovated barn. The food( you could get all three meals and cocktails there) was lovely as well as the grounds. Staff was helpful and accommodating. Actually... More

I learned about the Inn through an online discount travel service, and it was actually the exterior of this place that caught my eye. There are several colonial style buildings (with covered porches) nestled among trees, bushes, and very gently-rolling grass hills, and they are accented by wooden rail fences, brick walkways, old style lampposts, and hanging planters. There are... More

For a recent one-night get away, the Joseph Ambler Inn delivered. This charming inn/restaurant/B&B was everything we hoped it would be and more. The staff was extremely friendly and very accommodating. Upon our arrival, our request for a first-floor room was met without hesitation. The Inn has a number of buildings all beautifully appointed with luxurious furnishings in the guest... More

From the second my fiance and I stepped foot onto the Joseph Ambler Inn property, we knew that THIS was the perfect place for us to get married, have our reception, and most importantly, invite our guests to share our special occasion with us. Although the night was specifically about "us," we loved the fact that our guests were raving... More

Stayed here for one night in June, as we had a wedding nearby. The grounds of the property are beautiful and it's hard to believe this place is right off a highway! The buildings have a lot of charm. Our "deluxe queen" room was located on the second floor of the John Roberts House. Walking in on the first floor... More

My husband and I stayed here and used a groupon deal for a really great rate. We usually stay in modern hotels (Hiltons, etc) so we were wary of trying a bed and breakfast type place. We didn't' check in until 1am and they were very accommodating (24 hour desk). The room was super cute! It was very hot outside... More

This is one of my favorite places to stay, and I am here three or four times each year as my corporate office is nearby. The inn is a collection of historic stone buildings and I have stayed in each of them at least once. The king rooms are very spacious and comfortable with colonial style furniture and decor. Sometimes,... More

This is a wonderful destination hotel, particularly beautiful for weddings and special events. We stayed here two nights for a wedding in May 2014. The wedding party and some additional family all had rooms in one house, providing us a private bridal suite, kitchen, living room and dining area for the entire weekend. All of the guest rooms are full... More

A group of friends and I stayed here recently for a nearby wedding. There was an issue with us getting a room with a single bed instead of a double bed but it was resolved quickly once we spoke with reception. The rooms were a nice size and very comfortable and homey. The property itself is beautiful also. The food... More

My husband and I got married here 6 years ago, and we go back at least once a year. The rooms and property are gorgeous, the food is unbelievable, and the staff is so courteous and welcoming. We look forward to out visit every time and are never disappointed. Can't wait to go again!
