We spent one night at The Brick Hotel. My husband was there on business, so he chose this hotel so I could walk to the downtown shops and restaurants while he worked. The hotel is definitely interesting in the history it represents. However, the rooms, while maintaining some of the original "charm", are in need of refreshment. The floors were... More

If you like duct tape on the wallpaper in the hallways, an air conditioner that screeches like an air raid siren and gaping holes in the bedroom shades, then this place is for you. Granted this is a very old historic building but I think George Washington would have opted to stay at Valley Forge than stay here.

To start we own our own bed and breakfast so we have standards in mind when we go somewhere to stay. We are taking a year off to caretake my mother in law and needed a break...close by. So here we were. The Brick Hotel...good reputation for food and has been around for a L O N G time...so we... More

This place is unclean--unkempt, old musty rooms. We were planning a wedding and I couldn't tell guests to stay in these old, dark rooms. Go to Homewood Suites! In addition, do not plan an event here. They pretend they give fair prices and then add on little, hidden upcharges. They do not honor their contracts and try to gouge customers... More

This person stayed there and then at check out wanted her money back. So the manager stated it is non refundable. The place is old 250 year old building but not dirty. People confuse old looking with dirty. The health inspector visits us 3 times a year but never reports it as dirty. This was not a review, its a... More

Nice hotel, in a small historical town. The hotel was some history it was built 1760 something. It did give you the olden feel. I was alone so I had the smallest room, but they did have rooms with queen or King bed. I did not eat at their restaurant, it looks very nice with a good menu, but to... More

I just had my husband's funeral luncheon at the Brick Hotel on May 19, 2014. The original headcount I'd given Tammy, the event coordinator, was for 26 but at the start of the memorial service, it seemed there would be 59 for lunch! Well, the funeral director called Tammy, who never missed a beat, and not only increased the food... More

My family and I had dinner here, it was a special occasion so we chose a place we thought would work. Well the Brick Hotel isn't it! The service was good, but the food was awful! What head chef at a nice restaurant cannot cook a steak? We had 5 people in our party send there steaks back 2 times... More

This review is on the restaurant only... We had a last minute cancellation on our Sunday brunch elsewhere due to an ice storm. Since The Brick Hotel is closer, we decided to chance it and just show up there for the brunch. (We hadn't been aware that they even had brunch until doing a google search.) The food display is... We went here on NYE and the receptionist was so completely rude not to mention the place smelled like a funeral parlor! Then in January, the neighborhood lost power for 5 days and so my husband and I booked one night because we couldn't take the cold in our 45 degree house. We made our reservation and later that evening... More
