Third time was definitely the charm at Porches on the Towpath in New Hope. We love to come here at the end of the summer and Porches has become our go to place. It is located right in the heart of town. It is a short walk to the stores and restaurants on Main Street. The rooms are extremely comfortable... More

For years my husband's rule of thumb was "always take a room in the main building", the implication being that successful B&B's all around the world eventually add rooms to meet popular demand. Therefore if you think you are staying at a 17th century chateau you could find yourself in a five year old room that doesn't even approximate the... More

Tucked away in a sweet little corner just steps from downtown New Hope is Porches - the best bed and breakfast we have ever stayed in. Full of antiques in every nook and cranny, beautiful vintage rooms impeccably furnished and knowledgeable and friendly hosts, it is a perfect getaway. John and Bob make you feel right at home, and cook... More

My family and friends vacation in New Hope often, and we are always pleased with Porches. John and Crissy are great hosts, and the breakfasts are to die for. You are close to everything in the town, situated in a cul-de-sac, and the view from the second floor porch gives a feeling of being in a tree in a rain... More

John and Bob were wonderful hosts at this charming B&B. They gave the best dining suggestions The place itself was clean and interesting, with a slightly over run garden situation. You couldn't beat the location, you could walk everywhere! The rooms were interesting, however, if you are tall or overweight don't book room #6 because the actual toilet was in... More

There is a reason for Porches' long-term success. John and his crew do it right. Gracious and knowledgable hospitality, delightful breakfasts, wonderful bedrooms and decor create a comfortable setting located right off New Hope's main drag. Parking is so convenient; one never has to use their car. The porches themselves are unique and add special spaces for eating, reading, and... More

Porches was a refreshing getaway place with a warm and friendly staff. Modestly appointed but very well kept older rooms with an exciting and authentic grasp of days past, just like New Hope. Breakfast was well done on a choice of upper or lower porches and the staff was very welcoming. Walk to everything and off the Main Street which... More

Tucked away in the center of New Hope surrounded by lush vegitation. My wife and I loved every minute of our stay. Breakfasts on the porch, friendly helpful people, and wonderful peaceful moments with my wife. A short walk to the Bucks County Play House with top notch shows. We plan on being back again and again

This place has the friendliest management you'll find anyway. This was our second visit. The last time we stayed it was in early April. This time (June 2014) the gardens were in full bloom, and it was even nicer. We spent three days there, and we could walk to everything -- including a show at the Bucks County Playhouse, which...
