The wishing well guesthouse is close to main street (15 minute walk and I highly recommend the path that follows the railroad tracks for a lovely scenic walk to downtown) in New Hope. You can also conveniently walk to friendly area bars like the Raven. The house is decorated beautifully and you really feel at home here. Lovely clean room.... More

The wishing well was cozy, charming, hospitable and friendly. I stayed there for a few weeks in the Attic Room which is a lot of stairs but well worth it for the cozy suite. My room was comfortable, the food was fantastic, and most of all, the innkeeper, Jason and the grounds keeper, Jay, were the two friendliest, most helpful... More

This was my second time staying. Both times I stayed in the Attic Room. The Inn has so much history, fun décor and unbelievable service! I truly could not ask for a more pleasant stay! Cannot wait to go back!

I was housed here for three weeks while holding an internship. From the second I arrived I was greeted and made to feel welcomed and at home. My favorite part about this place is the fact that all of the workers are so friendly and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The entire place feels as... More

Whenever we travel to New Hope, we stay at the Wishing Well. It feels like home to us. In fact, we always choose the Cathedral Room. It's high ceilings and proximity to the breakfast area are both pluses for me. I realize that some, like a past reviewer, might not like this second feature. I did not find the location... More

This was our first time staying at the Wishing Well, 5 of us just spent 2 evenings at the Wishing Well and had a wonderful time. We were surprised that the house was so comfortable and quiet for being one of the original houses in New Hope. We had 3 rooms and all of us felt that our rooms were... More

My husband and I stayed here for our one big night away without the kids. We were hoping to sleep in and relax. However, we stayed in the "Cathedral" room, which was immediately off the kitchen/eating area, and we were woken at 7:30 by people eating breakfast. I opened the door to go out and get coffee, and everyone in... More

I am sorry that these guests did not have the kind of room they wished--it's always so sad to me when someone does not feel they were accommodated. At the time they they made the reservation there were room options and they chose the Cathedral Room for it's size--it's the largest room in the house. Since they had a gift... More

This review is long overdue. My finance and I stayed here last year. We were greeting by Michael, the innkeeper, he was warm and fuzzy, like a big gay teddy bear. He made us feel welcome and at home. We arrived just in time for happy hour (wine & cheese). We also were introduced to the other guests, who happened... More

We celebrated a birthday/anniversary at the Wishing Well and it was unforgettable. It was the weekend of a major snow/ice storm right before the holidays and we were the only guests in the house. The house itself was very quaint and cozy, making us feel right at home. We had a chance to see all the rooms and each has... More

I was concerned about the Wishing Well as soon as we drove up. Nothing about the property appeared to be well-maintained. Keeping an open mind, we were shown to our room on the top floor, on the way passing through a dark living room area with scented candles (yuck! ~ certainly not a place I'd spend time with my visiting... This guest rented three rooms (out of six) for her family and arrived late afternoon on a Saturday of a holiday weekend. Because she secured the bottom half of that three night stay, three of my rooms could not be rented as doubles and ran vacant the night prior to her arrival, already causing loss of revenue. But we "aim to...
