We stayed here while looking at property in Myerstown. The hotel is in transition to becoming a Quality Inn from the Lantern Lodge. Pet friendly, which was a huge plus, reasonable rates, and all of the rooms have an outside door facing an absolutely beautiful courtyard. The room was quite comfortable, although needs updating. TV reception was great, but was... More

Arrived at the hotel mid-afternoon and found the reception/admin totally unmanned. After 20 minutes, the receptionist came back with his lunch in hand which he had been out to buy. There was one other guest with me waiting to check in also. Internally the property is run down and look neglected as though it hasn't had any investment for years.... More

Have stayed in the lantern lodge many times over the last 5 years. Not sure why but they have allowed it to deteriorate. It is not as busy as it used to be and the bar is dead. Many people complain about the rooms. I had a king size suite and it had everything I was expecting for this room.... More

The only good thing I can say about this place is that they did not argue with us when we checked out after 15 minutes and demanded our money back. The Lantern Lodge used to be the pride of Lebanon County, PA when it was owned by Kai Skov. Now it is an embarrassment. We checked in at 10:30 at... More

The Inn is a lower level member of the Choice Group of motels. The rooms are dimly lit, but the bathroom was bright and that was beneficial. The INn is old and tired, the rooms and halls are in need of renovations.

Stayed here over the Labor Day weekend. There is an old building and a "new" building at this Hotel. ..the newest side has not been touched since 1982. BOTH are disgusting. THEY DO NOT CLEAN THE BATHROOMS! You can't get an extra towel without a major fight and some dirty looks from the angry employee at the main check in... More

I would not return - Room 51 is the room from hell - sm, crowded, and not what you would want in a room. Even when moved to the Presidential Suite, still not a nice place. Too many things broken, mismatched. Lots of people drinking at the lounge, which made for a lot of noise. I didn't expect a 5... More

We stayed here because there wasn't really any other options! But I wouldn't recommend it. I checked everything over carefully since there were so many bad reviews. The floors needed vacuuming and shampooing badly. There was several long hairs in the tub and the tile walls really needed scrubbed. The shower curtain was dirty looking and two of our towels... The second you open the doors into the hallway it smells dusty and dirty. The smell did not end in the hallway, the rooms are dirty and not just dusty down right dirty. Black moldy shower curtains, dirty toilets, mold around tub, and filthy bathroom floor. The loveseat and chair were absolutely worn out. The beds were comfortable. The curtains... More
