We have stated here in 1998, 2009 & 2011...a wonderful vintage motor court collective with grand upgrades and very very clean Flexible staff w/ grand insight of the area (family owned for generations) A very short walk into this town of Victorian charm where multi-seasonal activities abound Wonderfully adjacent to the Delaware River, this town is richly filled with: dining,... We recently stayed at this renovated "tourist court" motel for two nights--on the way to and from a vacation in Maine. Overall, we liked this modest, family-run establishment. Rooms are housed in small cabin-like buildings. Each has a porch and faces a central grassy yard with picnic tables and grills. We enjoyed being able to sit on our porch and... More

The Myer has been a place we have stayed for a week each year for nearly 15 years. It's location is superb. The quiet little cabins are quaint and provide the basics for a good night's sleep. We usually get a king bed, which honestly is a bit hard. Cleanliness is the best I've seen anywhere. They really clean the... More

The Moyer Country Motel is a nice change of pace from the big box motels. The individual cottages with their own porches to sit and relax or to just open the door and allow some fresh air in through the screen door the rooms are quiet since you don't have people tromping past your door it also had a king... A motel but really little "cottages" on a green. Some single units, some double and all with porches. Very comfortable and nice size room (we had two double beds), his and her sinks and separate commode and tub., desk and table for 2. Thought it was very old so looked at the "fuse box" and yes fuses! Oh refrig too.... More

After crossing New England and New York on our way to West Virginia and back, we need to rest and refuel. Often we want to stay the night, but chain hotels usually lack soul, and some local places can be steeply priced or downright scary. Thankfully the Myer Country Motel is more like a cottage colony: small white buildings with... More

We were desperate for a room and I found Myers Country Motel on the internet and luckily they had a vacant room for the night we needed. I was a little worried since I usually think of little motels as kind of creepy and opt for bigger chain hotels. I was so pleasantly surprised! The room was spotless, large and... More

This is a cute cabin type motel with good beds but no coffee pots. It had a hair dryer, open green space a front porch, a good heating system, a spacious tub and plenty of hot water fast. Double sinks and separate water closet and shower. Don't flush at night. Toilet flush was really long and noisy. Sweet country decor.... More

We have stayed at Myers Country Motel every year for the past six years, sometimes as a couple and sometimes with members of our family. The Myers have , as a deliberate choice, kept there rates modest, while constantly updating the rooms which are charmingly decorated. Each time we had double sinks, a refrigerator, a beautiful flat screen TV, and... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to the Myer Country Motel where for over 68 years our standards of innkeeping excellence have been our trademark. Nestled among the Pocono Mountains of North Eastern Pennsylvania, the cottages sit on four acres with blue spruce and white pine trees lining the courtyard. The Myer Country Motel was established in 1945 by Ralph and Matilda Myer. Ralph remarried in 1952 to Audubon Winfield and they together continued to run the motel well into their 80's until their daughter, Audubon Cox, took over in 1975. She brought her energy and knack for decorating to the motel to give it a country home feel. Many people comment that this is their "home away from home". In June 1995 the third generation took over to continue the family business. Today you'll find the same warm, country friendliness that has set us apart for over 68 years. We hope you will visit us soon! ... more   less
