My wife and I were looking for a half-way point to meet my brother and his wife. We collectively discussed it and couldn't have made a better choice than Penns Creek Mountain Lodge. We were warmly greeted by Jim Hoover, the owner. He was great about offering suggestions for local attractions and dining, and he took time in answering questions... More

The Penns Creek Mountain Lodge innkeeper cancelled my reservation on his own as he was clearly annoyed and insulted that I would inquire about the Lodge's refund/exchange policy for a winter stay, my concern being snow and I'm coming from 4 hours away. "We don't feel the need to defend [our refund policy]" was his response, when I was asking... More

Oh my, this is a wonderful home!!! Jim greeted us the moment we arrived and made us feel very comfortable. The lodge is beautiful and is really a work of art. We occupied both rooms and they were well appointed and clean. We had coffee on our private deck every morning and the patio was perfect for gathering with our... More

Owners are very welcoming and the place is gorgeous! We stayed in the suite and it was very nice. We even had an in-suite breakfast such as yogurt, cereale, fruit and so-on. Very comfortable here and I would recommend it to anyone. It is a little hidden though; there isn't a sign for the B&B off the road, but just... More

My husband and I had just gotten back from a wonderful trip to Cape Hatteras, with our family, to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. We also celebrated after we got home, with a weekend of peace and quiet in the Penn's Creek area. The lodge was beautiful and very well kept. Our room had a deck and a small patio,... More

We received a very warm welcome at this beautiful log home in the Pennsylvania mountains. Our room was extremely comfortable, spotlesly clean, provided a very comfrtable bed, and offered many modern conveniences. We had brought in a carry-out dinner, since the reviews of local restaurants weren't very enthusiastic, and took full advantage of the well-equipped kichen (microwave, no stove) and... More

Penns Creek Mountain Lodge provided a beautiful, peaceful setting in a rural area surrounded by pines and the popular fly fishing creek. Our hosts, Jim and Cindy Hoover, were extremely hospitable and friendly, greeting us upon arrival and offering help along the way. The Lodge itself is a work of art, much of it handcrafted by Jim Hoover.

Spent the night up at Penns Creek Mountain Lodge in mid-March and found warm hospitality and amazing scenery. It's set right near Penns Creek with a clear view south towards a Bald Eagle National Forest ridge. The lodge featured beautiful woodworking and stone fireplaces and the caretaker kept the fires going and had ready answers for all our questions about... More
