Stayed here while attending a conference in Philadelphia. The train ride to and from the city was nice, relaxing. Judy and Roland are wonderful people, who made my stay so nice. My room was VERY clean, and my bed was so very comfortable. It had everything you need for a comfortable, quiet, and relaxing stay. The breakfast was excellent -... More

A week before Christmas Eve I realized that I needed 2 rooms to stay near Media with my partner and his family. Roland was able to accommodate, and I am thrilled that he was! We were only able to stay for one night, but we cannot wait to return and spend more time in the cozy sitting room (complete with... More

Media has an absolutely terrible selection of hotels... the Alpenhof makes a stay in the area enjoyable! We spent 3 nights over the Thanksgiving holiday and felt right at home. The food is over the top, and the hospitality is warm and welcoming. Only disappointment was no bed make-up or towels each day. Would stay here again in a flash!

Our apologies concerning our lack of attention over the Thanksgiving Holiday. Normally, our policy is to change over towels and remove trash from the bedrooms on a daily basis; and a changeover of fresh sheets and a bathroom cleaning every three days should you be with us that long. Hopefully you’ll forgive us? Twenty-four on Thanksgiving for dinner and 14... More

My wife and I stayed at the Alpenhof for a week in October (13-20) for a family vacation and a wedding. We spent several days watching our grandchildren. The Alpenhof was a wonderful place and we enjoyed it thoroughly. Judy and Roland were great with the breakfasts and in going over and beyond in helping us make the sitting enjoyable.... More

During our travels from FL to PA last month, my husband surprised me with one of the most beautiful bed and breakfasts I have ever laid my eyes upon! We had the opportunity to stay in the cottage for 4 nights, and I wish we were still there. The property is gorgeous with beautiful gardens and stone walkways. We enjoyed... More

We stayed here in September 2013 for a wedding. It was our first time staying at a bed and breakfast, and our experience was excellent. We were in the Master Suite, and it was roomy even with two small children. Breakfast was made to order, and was better than what you'd get at any restaurant. Highly recommended. We'll definitely stay... More

My family was in Media for a wedding in July. We booked the cottage and 3 rooms in the house. It was so nice for all of us to be in such a gorgeous setting together. Roland was a wonderful host. We plan to stay there every time we are in the area.

...and the best breakfast ever. The inn is fairly amazing: floor to ceiling pictures; beaded pillows; majestic portraits; flowers abounding; objet d'art every which a way--all in all, a pretty delectable place to hang a hat for a night or two. The breakfast was memorable: fresh and delicious and made to order and deelish. I'd for sure stay here again.

My wife and I stayed in Heidi's room in the main house for 4 nights during U.S. Open Week. The room was immaculately clean, and though not huge, perfect for us, well appointed and beautifully furnished. The breakfasts are to die for - really anything you want made to order - and you have the pleasure of meeting people from... More

My uncle and I booked this little gem over a year ago for the US Open Golf tournament. We stayed in the cottage from June 10 - 17, 2013. I could not have been treated better than if I were staying at the Ritz. Judy welcomed us and made sure we could get wherever we needed to be and on... More
