Me and my wife went to Harrisburg to visit our daughter in College. Used to stay in a particular hotel chain (which I find consistent and predictable) we accepted her suggestion from to stay at the Historic Crossroads B&B, owned by Ed and Barb Gordon. It was our 4th experience in a B&B and we have enjoyed it greatly. More... More

My husband and I spent two very relaxing nights at Colonial Crossroads. We were welcomed warmly by Barbara who gave us helpful advice about the area, started our days with delicious breakfasts, and told us the fascinating history of the B&B. Our room was truly a little sanctuary; it had all the space we needed, luxurious amenities, and a most... More

We had such a wonderful experience there. The hostess was a great and very knowledgeable of the history of the place. The rooms and house are charming, it gave us a cozy feeling. We didn't want to leave. We will most definitely be back! Oh, and lets not forget about Flash the friendly Bed and Breakfast dog, such a warm,... More

We booked for 7 nights but stayed for eight instead! It was a very good holiday for us: beautiful home, gracious hosts, good and healthy breakfast daily, near to our child who is studying in Messiah College which is about 20 minutes walk away, and quiet neighborhood. Barbara and Edward are as nice as all the reviewers said they are.... More

We have stayed at numerous B&B's, but this one is truly wonderful. The Gordon's have done a wonderful job in refurbishing this antique structure, adding the right amount of modern amenities without sacrificing the home's historical charm. We have stayed there on three separate trips to the area while visiting our daughter and hope to stay there again soon!

What a beautiful place. The innkeepers are so welcoming and gracious. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Can't forget to mention Flash. What a sweetie. Barbara prepared breakfast in the morning. Very delicous. The Inn itself is very beautiful. A lot of history. Can't wait to go back!

We got to stay at Colonial crossroads for 2 nights- I wish we had more time! The building is amazing, the history is written on the walls and although many parts have been refurbished and restored, many of the original (225 year old) building remain intact. We were welcomed as soon as we parked our car and felt like family... More

Charming place to stay and central to many attractions in the area. We took my dad on a road trip and it was so convenient staying in the adjoining York and PA rooms. The breakfasts were lovely every morning and like other reviewers, we loved Barbara's baked oatmeal! In addition to the fantastic hot breakfasts, we were treated to fresh... More

Our time at the Colonial Crossroads B/B was wonderful! Our hosts, Ed and Barb Gordon, and their dog, Flash, have made a 1790 Stone Tavern into a jewel of a bed and breakfast. The 21st century amenities include WIFI and air conditioning and wonderful bathrooms!! Barb's breakfasts are filling, yet rememiscent of what one could have had in colonial times.... More

Beautiful B & B. Really a little gem for the area. The grounds around the home are beautiful and very well maintained. The home is quaint and very well accessorized. Barbara and Ed are very proud of their home and it shows. The breakfasts were excellent and it was nice to have snacks in the dining area and bedroom. The... More
