We had 4 families, including 7 kids ranging in age from 6 to 15, parents and grandparents. Newhart's Civil War Farm was absolutely perfect. We took both buildings (main house and "barn"). We cooked breakfasts and one dinner en masse in the big house, had a great cookout dinner in the barn's picnic area, enjoyed the facilities: all the kids... More

My husband and I traveled to the Gettyburg area for Rememberence Day weekend. We are regulars at Gettysburg and have stayed in many B&B's in the area. We traveled with friends and their children and stayed at Newhart's Inn for the first time. We had a wonderful stay at the inn. The kids loved the grounds and especially the cows... More

Newhart's Iron Horse Inn is in a beautiful, quiet area just a few miles outside of Gettysburg. It is very close to the new Visitor's Center and Museum at the Gettysburg Battle Field. If you would like to tour the battle fields and the town, then retreat from all the traffic and noise to a relaxing bed & breakfast in... More
