My neighbor purchased a gift certificate for me for my 40th birthday last November for a night stay in the Paymaster Cottage. The gift certificate was valid for a full year and I was finally just able to take advantage of it this weekend. I’ll start by saying this is a wonderful place to stay. The Paymaster Cottage is romantic.... more

The Speedwell Forge is one of the best bed and breakfast vacations that we have stayed at! We stayed in Kathryn's Room for a few nights. The rooms are very clean. Attention to detail is evident throughout the home. At night, Dawn bakes delicious bed-time snacks. We also ordered a wine and cheese basket for one of the nights. We're... more

We had such a fantastic time in the Paymaster's cottage. The attention to detail is second to none. The place was immaculate, and we loved the gorgeous atmosphere and setting. Sitting outside the cottage, drinking wine and watching the cats and squirrels amongst the falling leaves, we could just feel tension melting away. Added to the experience, the couples massage... more

We had a lovely stay at the Speedwell Forge during a show at Hershey Park grounds. This was our first visit to the inn, and we were delighted with the beautiful restoration of the mansion (check out the photo albums in the living room). The inn and rooms are lovely, as are the floors, which the owner protects with a... more

We stayed at the Speedwell Forge for Memorial Weekend. Dawn, the owner, was very nice and made a great breakfast with fresh fruits. Katherine's room was perfect and the bathroom with the old fashioned tub was a also a treat. The aura of the grounds and inn was tranquil. We will be back to stay with Dawn and the Wolves! more

This place is absolutely beautiful. Dawn has done a wonderful job restoring the buildings. It is incredibly relaxing. I wish I could live there. The Wolf Sanctuary is just behind the Inn. Definitely recommend a tour. My wife and I stayed in the Summer Kitchen Cottage. I had originally only booked for one night, but we knew as soon as... more

This B& B is a beautifully furnished historic home dating to 1760. The antiques and wood floors are gorgeous. Unfortunately, preserving the floors comes first, so before even stepping inside we learned that there's a no-shoes policy. I felt that created an uninviting touch right from the start. The tastefully decorated formal dining room where we ate breakfast was amazing,... more

My husband and I stayed in the paymasters suite. WOW what a room! We felt like we were the first couple staying there. Not a speck of dust! The linens and lush towels smelled clean and fresh. Decore is masculine with hints of feminine. Fine details noted everywhere. The gas fireplace is user friendly. The king size bed is very... more
