Had to be in Lewisburg for a few days last week and thought we'd enjoy a quaint inn, rather than the highway hotels. Our rooms (party of 4 staying in a queen room and suite in the main hotel) were tired - TV was from the 90s and barely worked, blinds were broken, no tissues, furniture was worn, mattress sagged,... A previous reviewer (Amy H) said exactly what I would say: there is a difference between retro and old. The bottom line is that the lobby/restaurant/bar areas are ok (fairly well renovated), but the rooms are dumpy. Sure, everyone has their own opinion about what is tasteful or elegant, but there is absolutely no excuse for worn-out mattresses with skeevy... More

The fact is, I LOVE all things vintage and antique. I would have really enjoyed a retro mid-century style room. But there is a difference between chic/retro/clean, and just plain shabby/old/musty - this motel is the latter. Stepping into my room was certainly like entering a time capsule, but not in a good way. It had a really funky smell... More

If I could give this hotel six stars for service, I would do it in a heartbeat. I have to come to Lewisburg once a year on business, and I'm amazed that many of the hotel staffers remember me by name year after year. They are extremely friendly, accommodating people, who have even kept the restaurant open late on occasion... More

We dropped my son at Lycoming College and we then stopped at the Lewisburg Hotel for something to eat. We have seen it many times advertised on television but it is about an hour and a half away, so it was the perfect time to go. First I had the special drink of the day which was the bloody mary... So I'll start by saying this hotel is actually over 150 years old. You can't expect it to be an ultra luxurious place considering the history, original structure and everything. The hotel offered a pretty nice stay while I was visiting Lewisburg for a Career Fair at Bucknell University. The hotel is right in downtown Lewisburg and just walking distance... More

It was really fun staying there It was a Sunday night and some of the locals came for a Jam session. the Inn is filled with antiques. Just Charming. I loved just sitting on the porch. When traveling if was Greataway from a chain.

The exterior of this historic hotel does not match the interior. Broken furniture, dirty upholstery, torn linens and toilet seat with the paint worn off are just a few of the offensive qualities of the rooms. And all this for over $200 per night for a suite. Don't look too closely at the bathroom walls either. The lobby and bar/dining... More

The rooms are old and show their use. Blankets are torn. Room cold even with 80 set on temperature. Food was good. Wifi service very poor. Lack of plugs to conveniently charge and operate laptop and iPad. Everybody said this was great hotel but I find it very disappointing.

The food and the bartender was good. Waited awhile for service. A little more choices offered on the menu would be better. The hotel itself is nice. Would recommend it. the atmosphere was nice & quit.
