My husband and I had the most wonderful stay. The owners are generous and fun. They have done everything to ensure their guests experience a good time from creative napkin folds at breakfast to imaginative full delicious morning meal to discounts on plays and dinners. Staying there was both relaxing and fun and we left wanting to extend the trip... More

We stayed at this lovely B&B a part of our son's 18th birthday celebration. We found it through a B&B registry. The Innkeepers asked questions about our intended stay and when they found out we were celebrating our son's 18th birthday and were attending a production at Sight and Sound -- a Christian based theater company in the vicinity --... Best B&B we ever stayed in. The attention to detail was outstanding ! It was worth every penny. I would recommend the kings cottage to anyone . The people are very friendly and very knowledgeable of the area. Rooms neat and clean very well decorated.

Sour/mildew smells in bathroom. Not the most helpful hotel owner. We were told "too busy" to answer a question we had about an address. Owner denied breakfast to the only other couple in the inn who arrived within the hour ONLY time frame that breakfast was served. They had come back from a hot air balloon ride and hungry. Felt... Thanks for your comments. Our bathrooms are scrubbed clean and disinfected with each check out. I’m not sure if you were here when there was an odor coming from outside which smelled a little like skunk. I noticed it on the 3rd floor and went outside to discover the smell was heavy outside. There wasn’t anything I could do about... More

Wonderful staff, knows area, helps with tour arrangements, and keeps a great place! Rooms perfect and like home, comfortable and quiet. Ours had a nice little porch in front. Building is in perfect condition and historic, yet rooms are modern. We enjoyed our stay. Also, breakfast was really good and different. Alltogether it was a great experience and we do... More

Janis and Ann are warm and inviting hosts. They make you feel right at home the minute you step in. It was my husbands birthday, mind you you we were staying 1 night, and they left him a b-day card on the bed. Incredibly thoughtful. The house is beyond beautiful and wonderfully decorated. They take care of anything you need... More

beautiful room, great breakfast, and more importantly, the owners suggested that they can try and arrange dinner at an amish family which they did and that dinner and meeting the family, talking about their lifestyle, was not only the highlight of our lancaster trip but one of the top highlights of our entire three week new england trip

King's cottage is a charming, elegant, large, historic home located on the East side of Lancaster near the popular Amish farming area. The hosts (Ann and Janis) were very knowledgeable regarding local area activities/events and had great suggestions on dining options. The common and guest rooms are tastefully decorated and very well cleaned. Our bed was very comfortable. Small touches... More
