We spent 2 nights in the King's Cottage B&B, Lancaster PA. You really feel as a King there ! Janis and Ann are wonderful hosts, their recommendations are top notch and they are the "Queens of Coupons" ! They even arrange for us a private dinner with a couple of Amish in order to be able to openly talk and... More

beautiful room, great breakfast, and more importantly, the owners suggested that they can try and arrange dinner at an amish family which they did and that dinner and meeting the family, talking about their lifestyle, was not only the highlight of our lancaster trip but one of the top highlights of our entire three week new england trip

King's cottage is a charming, elegant, large, historic home located on the East side of Lancaster near the popular Amish farming area. The hosts (Ann and Janis) were very knowledgeable regarding local area activities/events and had great suggestions on dining options. The common and guest rooms are tastefully decorated and very well cleaned. Our bed was very comfortable. Small touches... More

We had a wonderful time at the Inn. The innkeepers (Ann and Janis) were extremely personable and helpful. They were able to give us lists of activities to do around the Inn and detailed maps of how to get there. We stayed in the Carriage House which was its own separate room at the back of the Inn. It was... More

We chose the "princess room" for the quiet, private balcony. The queen bed was comfortable and the whirlpool tub was relaxing. It was perfect to view the little bunnies next door and lightening bugs later at night. The Inn was warm, clean and inviting. We were met by Ann, one of the Innkeepers, who showed us around the common area... More

Thanks for sharing your experience. The Princess balcony is a favorite of many of our guests. I bet the fireflies were a special treat to see. I don't see the bunnies too often but I know they are around. At least you got a chance to see them. We are glad you enjoyed Janis' July 4th special snack. I expect... More

We drove over 12 hours from Alabama to get to PA. It was worth every mile! We had never stayed at a B & B. We were a little worried about how we would like this experience. Our innkeepers made our experience one of the very best vacations we have ever had. They were quick to guide us to places... More

Hosts are from North Carolina and you feel the southern charm from the time of arrival through check-out. Rooms beautifully appointed. Delicious breakfasts! Nice gift shops, and they know how to wrap purchases to survive sustained travel. Even though hosts are not native to Lancaster area can provide LOTS of ideas of things to do. We selected our room based... More

We stayed at King's Cottage for 2 nights in mid May, an ideal time to visit charming Amish Country. Our room was downstairs with an outside entrance to a private parking area, easy, convenient. Two highlights: elegant 2-course served breakfasts (well above what we expect from even the best-rated B&Bs) and the hospitality of innkeepers Ann and Janis (delightful, very... More

Everything about our three day two night stay was perfect. Ann greeted us outside, and welcomed us into her beautiful inn. Our room was perfection; very comfortable and romantic for us to celebrate our 19th anniversary. Ann had excellent suggestions for dinner and local activities.
