Weekend of July 4 we went hiking first near Thurmont and then Hamburg and in between needed a place to overnight so we chose Lancaster. This hotel was well recommended on TA so we made a last minute booking online and showed up around 5 pm. It's a fully renovated medium sized hotel, in fact the lobby was just finished... More

Five stars in my book compared to when this Hotel was known as the Brunswick Hotel. The Hotel Lancaster is perfect the staff is elegant, kind & nice. The rooms were 5 out of 5. The Breakfast Service was above normal, they went above and beyond!

The Hotel Lancaster is in a great location and has potential to be a rival to other downtown hotels once it's fully renovated with its full complement of rooms, a fitness center, and the renovation of its swimming pool. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and there are nice amenities such as flat-screen TVs, complimentary in-room WiFi, continental breakfast,... More

There's nothing fancy about this place, but it has the Big Three: 1-- a comfortable bed; 2-- a good shower; 3-- helpful, friendly (and in this case, downright jocular) staff. We can look the other way past the faded decor and the not-so-great breakfast. Room service addicts note: There is none, although they can arrange for deliveries, and if you... More

Known to most of us locals as The Hotel Brunswick, this hotel is in phase 2 of a rather large scale overhaul. I'll be honest - had I not been in the pinch I was in, I would have allowed my previously held bias to keep me from trusting this venue with the 20 person meeting we were holding.... Gary... More

Nice hotel with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Was at a great location and my with my room I could see the whole city. The rooms were clean and spacious and I have no complaints. If you are staying here there are some great restaurants nearby, I would recommend Himalayan Curry for good Indian food.

Very modern clean and comfortable. Close to everywhere we wanted to go. Also great neighborhood bars and resturants. We were also lucky enough to be there for the street festival right outside the hotel....bands food beer and fireworks,,,you can't ask for more!!

Very welcoming. Beautiful rooms. Complimentary breakfast was more than adequate. Staff were very friendly. Rooms lacked a safe which would have been beneficial otherwise everything was perfect. Large wardrobes to store all your belongings if you were there for a long stay. Bed was extremely comfortable.

Seriously, this place is a real gem. I booked here because it had the best rate for the area by far. $ 107 for a queen room. Right on Chestnut street near city hall and opposite the Federal Taphouse ( see my other review). The hotel used to be The Brunswick, but has been remodeled as the Lancaster, and the... More

Came late and left early but I loved the place and the price. The staff were wonderful. Would like some more items at breakfast. Great location - within walking distance of where I needed to be. Would definitely stay again.
