Photos are LIES - This is a redecorated transient hotel in a completely defunct neighborhood. Dangerous! Specifics of our stay - Tried for 15 minutes to find a staff member at the front desk - finally gave up, 8th floor windows didn't lock - travelling with a 3 year old - The Hair Dryer CAUGHT FIRE! - Of the 2... more

I took my husband and 2 kids (9 and 5 years) to the Hotel Brunswick for a 2 night stay in June. PROS: Our room was lovely, clean and newly renovated. All utilities worked fine. The hotel was conveniently located in downtown, walking distance to lots of stores, restaurants. The staff was friendly and helpful. The indoor pool was nice.... more

Our weekend @ the Brunswick was lovelier than we expected. The staff were polite and helpful, (being a family with little children who are a bit too energetic), they were extemely kind and patient. Yes, the hotel is undergoing renovations, but we all hope it is for the better and I urge others who have been there while it was... more

Found the hotel when looking for a nice overnight without the children. Package deal included room, breakfast, and gift certificate to local brewpub including some beers in the room, too. The hotel is indeed in the downtown, urban area of Lancaster which I think some people don't realize exsists. On the positive side, the staff were very friendly, our room... more

Stayed here for business; booked by the agency I was training for. This hotel is undergoing renovations. I stayed in a room that had recently been redone. New carpet still smelled like new carpet. There was a little sign in the bathroom, "due to renovations it make take up to 5 minutes for water to get hot" (it did!). The... more

We were placed at The Hotel Brunswick because our booked rooms at the nearby Holiday Inn were under renovation. Big mistake, this hotel is under renovation as well. Our rooms were filthy, bathrooms, rugs, furniture, hallways, on and on. Some rooms we couldn't get heat, some rooms only had hot water which scalded your skin, some the water was only... more

We booked this hotel when another hotel couldn't accommodate our group due to last minute renovations. They arranged for the transfer. Wow, staying here was a big mistake! Prior to our arrival, while I did read some previous reviews, I didn't think the Hotel Brunswick could be as bad as was reported. No, it was probably even worse! Yes, the... more

We booked and arrived after a very long day. The staff was pleasant and the room was clean and remodeled. We ordered in and didn't get any silverware from the chinese place. We asked at the bar and were told they didn't have any. Called down to the front desk....they tell us to go to the bar. We go back... more

After waiting for 3 hours (Feb. 22-24) for a trip that was booked months ago, I was placed in a partially renovated room with a bed spread stapled to the wall. Three other people were told that they would not have a room until the following day. Some of the rooms are partially renovated and very nicely done but many... more
