I had booked a group of high school students on a field trip to Lancaster in the Hotel Brunswick for a one night stay October 10, 2009. We had booked 18 rooms. The day before our flight from Atlanta to Philadelphia I discovered that the Hotel Brunswick was closed for renovation and as I discovered later had been closed since... more

My husband and I with 6 of our children recently planned a trip to Lancaster. We booked the Hotel Brunswick to stay in July of 09. As we drove to the hotel we became increasingly concerned with the neighborhood. When we arrived at the Hotel we were supprised to see police cars out front. As we approached the automatic doors,... more

Stayed here with my son and his girlfriend Fourth of July weekend. Our first time here. My son booked it through Priceline. The hotel is about ten to fifteen minutes to Amish country, east of Lancaster. We had rooms on the ninth floor. From what I can gather, several floors were recently renovated and this floor was one of them.... more

We stayed at the Hotel Brunswick for 2 nites. For less then $100.00 a nite, I think it was an excellent value. The place was busy, I think there was some sort of Church retreat going on at the same time but the staff was always helpful and very knowledgable of the local attractions. We got to see fireworks and... more

Recently stayed at the Hotel Brunswick June 19-June 21, 2009, for USTA mixed doubles tennis playoffs. Booked through Priceline for $44/night (Lancaster-Zone 2, 2-star). The rest of my team got a discounted group rate from the hotel manager for $50.00/night per room. After reading all of the bad reviews, I was dreading my arrival and stay at the hotel, but... more

I was really worried about my stay prior to arriving after reading all the bad reviews. I booked through Priceline and got a great 69.00/night price. We even considered not even trying to stay there and going right to a hotel we had gone to before. However, we thought we needed to at least see what it was like. I... more

We made reservations for the hotel through Priceline.com. We drove up to the hotel, and there were homeless people lying in all the doorways around the buildiong. as we turned to go in the garage to park, 3 young men caming running out of the garage, one holding something that looked like a knife. On was yelling,"come on let's get... more

Dear Jackoby, We have found the Lancaster City safety teams, including the James Street bike patrol, police, mounted police and city officials to be proactive in insuring our citizens and guests have a safe and pleasant experience. Red Rose Transit has a bus stop at our hotel and perhaps the folks you saw sitting were waiting for a Red Rose...

I spent May 21-23 at the Brunswick. The rooms which were supposed to be remodeled, still had much to be desired. The bathroom was small, but was about the only part of the room that seemed to be in good shape. The neighborhood was downtown Lancaster and very noisy. There was a club right down the street and at about... more

My now husband and I had just gotten engaged and wanted to spend a weekend in Lancaster where he went to college in order to celebrate. We selected the Brunswick because of it's location, a great sounding Jazz Brunch on Sunday morning and they had a "Brewery Package" that appealed to us. When we arrived, we were handed a bottle... more

Dear Philly, I am sorry to see that your stay two years ago was a disappointment. From 2007 through the present, 2009, management changes and major renovations have made great improvements for our hotel. We are working hard to make sure that internet information about our hotel is timely and accurate, staff training is complete and that our guests receive...

Got a good deal using priceline and had no problems checking in. Hotel is a little run down looking but our room was very clean with a nice size flat screen tv. Daughter and I went to check out the pool which looked very neat from the photos. We went to the pool area and it was ok but the... more
