There are three chain motels in Kittanning, all Choice Hotels properties: Quality Inn, Rodeway Inn, and Comfort Inn. Having stayed at all three, I recommend this property when staying in Kittanning.

The Comfort inn seems fairly new, I'd say 10 years old or so. The other properties are much older. It is in the parking lot of a strip mall with a Wal-Mart, Foodland, and other shops within walking distance, as well as several restaurants including Wendy's, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, and King's (a local chain of family restaurants), so there are many conveniences that don't require driving once you've arrived. It's just off US 422 at the West Kittanning exit.

The Comfort Inn is in far better condition than the Rodeway and somewhat better than Quality Inn. The rates are roughly $20 higher than those properties but still well within my travel budget- at a AAA rate you can get a King with Jacuzzi for under $100. Even in a small town like Kittanning, that's a bargain... more
