Gilja is a wonderful hostess! The Kennett House is delightful! It is immaculate & a wonderful place to call home for our wedding day/night. The food was fresh & yummy, yummy!! I can't wait to go back!

This is a lovely place in Kennett Square, the small town near Longwood Gardens -- clean, comfortable, very good breakfast and accommodating owner/hostess. Would definitely stop there again when visiting Longwood.

we are a mature couple who visited Kennett Square from Boston to see the gardens and mansions near by- we had the Longwood Suite for 2 nights mid-week so very quiet- breakfast was superb as Gilja is an excellent cook- she helped us with restaurant suggestions- ate at Le Verona, an excellent Italian place- downtown a very short walk- home... My wife and I recently spent a weekend at Kennett House during the annual Mushroom Festival in Kennett Square. Despite the crowds and hubbub associated with the festival, the bed and breakfast was a haven of tranquility and a step back in time. The house is historically accurate and beautifully decorated much as it might have looked at the turn... More

Kennett House gets my highest recommendation. Every detail was well thought out by Gilja, the proprietor. A 1910 construction, this beautiful granite building has been tastefully decorated and comfortably furnished. Breakfast is a work of art, delicious with presentation worthy of a fine-dining restaurant. Gilja is friendly with no hint of being overbearing, and the decor in the public areas... More

I am a travel agent and had never stayed in a B&B, before, so I thought I needed the experience. While planning a two night trip to visit Longwood Gardens, I decided that the time had come to try this type of experience, and I think I am spoiled, now. I can't believe, however, that other B&B's will live up... More

we just returned from three days in this charming B&B. My husband and I were impressed at the lovely architectural details of this 1910 Historic house - beautiful wood floors, baseboards, doors and windows. Comfortable furniture. Lovely and not overdone (many B&Bs seem to over-decorate, this one was cozy but tasteful). Gilja was a warm and welcoming innkeeper. And prepared... More

We took two rooms for three nights. Our son and wife joined us to celebrate Mother's Day weekend. The house is charming. We had no issues with noise from other guests, even though it was full. Breakfasts are elaborate. Gilja was kind enough to vary the menu for my wife who is diabetic. Location for sightseeing is perfect. We plan... More

I have stayed at Kennett House B&B twice now. I have also stayed in 3 of the 4 rooms. This B&B is very nice. Gilja, the owner, cooks a great breakfast and is vary gracious. The Beds are very comfy. My only complaint is that I wish Kennett Square was a little nicer. It seems to me that the world... More

My wife and I have stayed here twice, in April 2012 and again in April 2013. We prefer B & B's when we travel and have stayed in many across the U.S. This B & B is one of the nicest! Not only are the rooms immaculately cared for, with many special touches you don't usually find at a B... More
