We didn't stay here overnight but hope to do a murder mystery weekend! Stopped for the self guided tour. Loved having a drink in the Libations lounge/Red Room. We loved talking with one of the owners who got our drinks for us. Relaxing and fun experience. Already looking forward to our next visit. Beautiful !

We stayed in the Harry Packer Mansion on the third floor in Jim Thorpe. The mansion was awesome! The owners did a great job renovating it when they got it and it truely shows how much they love the mansion. We did the murder mystery and had a blast. It was a small group but we all really got into... More

A friend and I went to the Harry Packer Mansion Inn in September to participate in the murder mystery weekend. I had been to Jim Thorpe as a child, and I always wanted to go back to see inside of the Harry Packer Mansion. My first chance to do so certainly did not disappoint! Upon arrival on Friday evening, we... More

This was one of the best weekends I have had in a long time! I came across the website for a murder mystery weekend accidentally and thought it looked like a fun get away. Was it ever! Bob and Pat are wonderful hosts! We stayed in the Carriage House and it was lovely! The bed was so comfy I had... More

I took my now-husband to visit this out-of-the-way B&B last year for his birthday. He is a halloween baby, and so he loves everything spooky and full of mystery! That was exactly what this murder mystery getaway was! Each person is given a "persona" based off an actual historical figure on the first night at the B&B. We're each given... More

This was our second trip to the Harry Packer Mansion. On both occasions we participated in the Murder Mystery. We had such a memorable time on our first trip that we decided an encore was necessary. We were delighted that our second trip had all the laughter and magic of our original encounter. That is a true compliment to our... More

Had one of the best weekends ever at the Mansion's Murder Mystery Weekend last week of September! This was the second time our group of 6 couples visited the Mansion. We had so much fun a few years back we couldn't wait to come back again! As entertainment goes - what could be better than a having a great mystery... More

We didn't get chance to stay at the Mansion. My friend called at 1:30a.m. for tour info expecting to get a recording. Pat answered & told him he was "rude" to call at that time to ask for info & hung up on him, not even giving him chance to apologize for not knowing there was no answering machine &... More

This woman called to yell at us about not being more helpful to her friend that called at 1:30 AM to ask about the town and attractions as he was asked to call back after 9AM. The louder she got the quieter I got because I had no idea what she was going on about. She ended by calling me... More

Mansion was nice. Murder mystery was not worth the money though. Sat in a big circle and felt we were just told a story. Friday night went really late and I could hardly keep my eyes open to pay attention! Was very hard to follow at the end and felt we hardly participated. Got handed a script which was even... More

My Valentines Day surprise was postponed to July 14th. No longer a surprise, this mansion and the quaint village of Jim Thorpe met my wife's expectations and more. The mansion and our room were rich in authentic Victorian decor and our hosts Pat and Robert Handwerks were the best. The breakfast menu was broad and delicious. Local dining, especially Moya,...
