My husband and I had previously stayed at the Parsonage and this time we brought my parents with us. This is my favorite B&B of any we've visited. It is fairly spacious considering the house was built in the 1840s. The beds are very comfy and breakfast is to die for. Maureen went above and beyond. My mom has trouble... More

We reserved the Switchback Room, not knowing that it is partially underground and there is no acceptable secondary form of egress from that room. The window is way too small and even if one managed to get out, there are bars on the outside. The room is built into the side of the mountain and it smells damp and musty.... More

"Thank you for a wonderful stay. The room was comfortable, the food was good and all your info on the history of Jim Thorpe was great. " T.T. 10/11/15 "We had a lovely time at your homey and cozy bed and breakfast. The reading room (private sitting area for the Switchback room) was so comfortable after each day in the... More

Jim Thorpe is an ideallic picturesque town nestled in the mountain side. My husband and I arrived at the Parsonage and instantly felt at home. Maureen, the proprietor, was super informative about the town, it's history, museums to visit, things to do and restaurant choices. Our room was charming! Breakfast each morning was amazing! We could walk to everything! We... More

We spent two lovely evenings this past Labor Day weekend at the Parsonage. We wanted a quick get away for our anniversary, and we couldn't have chosen a better spot. Maureen was a wonderful hostess. Our room (Mauch Chunk) was spotless and nicely decorated, and the rate was reasonable. It was located in the front of the house, facing the... More

We rented all four (4) bedrooms for our son’s wedding and it was excellent. Maureen was the perfect hostess. The entire property was just beautiful. Each room was very clean and being a mid 1800’s home, it was elegant. Each morning Maureen spoiled us with delicious and elegant breakfast with fruit, coffee, juices and an amazing entree. We will back... More

The Parsonage is the classic good B&B that meets all your needs and is a good value. Jim Thorpe is great destination from New York or Philly. Plenty of attractions for a weekend stay. The Parsonage is nicely appointed, has a lot of character, a charming and knowledgeable in keeper, comfortable rooms and a modern bathroom. The Inn is right... More

We are not rich people and normally would not consider staying in a B&B because of the price. However, you are not likely to find anything under $100 in the summer in Jim Thorpe or nearby towns. After researching several B&B's online, we decided that the Parsonage offered about the best value in town. It is not cheap but it... More

The bed was comfy, bathroom clean and inn had eclectic appointments, just like we like! Hostess was wonderful and very knowledgeable of the area. Breakfast was excellent! The home was original to it's period. It was also within walking distance of making attractions and had a balcony out front in which we sat and relaxed with a glass of wine... More

Maureen was a great host. She was very welcoming & extremely knowledgeable about the area. She gave great tips & was so pleasant to talk to. She was not overbearing in anyway & you had your privacy. Our room, the Mauch Chunk was small but the bed was comfortable & everything was clean. We really didn’t spend much time in... More

It can be overwhelming when you want to select a B&B and have no clue which one to choose. So look no further and make your reservation at the Parsonage. We were in the Lehigh room which had a very comfy king size bed. The bathroom was updated and the shower/bath had great water pressure and plenty of hot water.... More
