Great place to camping! Beautiful lake, playground, beach volleyball court, boat and kayak rentals. Don't expect to be in a resort, the facilities is not that great, but it is good for a camping ground. We definitely going back this summer, so much things to do. We had so much fun!!!

Not sure why this is listed as a hotel. Maybe because there is a campground here? My family travels to Jim Thorpe often but we only recently traveled up to Mauch Chunk Lake Park. I only wish we had gone sooner. We went in December right after it had snowed. The snow shoeing was excellent. Such beautiful scenery! It was... More

We camped here two nights while visiting Jim Thorpe. The park was clean and well maintained. The bathroom was one of the cleanest I've seen! Showers were hot. We had site 100 on the lake. The sites are close to each other but it wasn't a problem. Would stay here again.

My family and I spent Labor Day weekend at the park. We camped on site 116, facing the lake. All the lake spots where taken. The lake spots are the way to go. Next time :) The only issue we had was the cabin behind us had tons of loud people the second night, we called to complain and it... More

This is our 2nd year staying here. We rented a cabin for our family of 4. The cabins and grounds are very clean. The place is alcohol free which just means that you keep things on the down low and the party crowd is kept away. There were tons of families which was perfect for our 2 girls as they... More

Stayed here for a night in early June. Try to get one of the lakefront tent sites - probably offer the most in privacy - otherwise you'll know there are people everywhere around you. Bathrooms were well maintained, most people respected the quiet hours, and it's close to Jim Thorpe. Nice park with a lot to do. Agree with the... More

The tent sites are extremely rocky, but wooded nicely. Almost nothing is directly on the lakeshore so be prepared for that. The cabins are cute but I'd say you can only fit a max of 4 people in there, since there's very little room for storage of your items other than in the back room which has 4 bunk beds.... More

First of all, the campground was very nice, woodsy, peaceful. There is a beach, boat launch, and environmental center. However, everything including the campstore and maine office close at 4:30. So if you are renting a cabin, make sure you pick up your key before 4:30. Camp Rangers are very hard to find after the office closes. We only saw... More

I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to camping--I love it, but only when it's perfect. Wen to Mauch Chunk Lake Park for tent camping for the first time this year to try something different. The location is spectacular! But the campsites are a bit small, and reasonably close together. That means lots of people noise. The campground... More

We love to go to Mauch Chunk Lake. It's inexpensive and a great place to go for the day, weekend or week. The lake is great with it's beach, playground and snackbar. You can also rent kayaks and boats. The campground looks nice although we have never stayed there. It's a great place to get away to and relax. Our... More
