This B & B is amazing! Beautiful old home with original woodwork...our room was unbelievable! The bathroom was as big as our den. Loved all the details that were reminiscent of 1800s. The owners, Sheila and Bob, were the best part......Sheila was so enthusiastic about having us there and was very generous with her time, showing us the house and... More

Bob and Sheila are wonderful hosts in a charming old home with an interesting past. Well appointed rooms with comfy beds are just the start. Breakfast is on par with top NY restaurant choices. Hearty and lovingly made by Sheila, you won't be disappointed. We highly recommend this place and can't wait to go back.

The Gilded Cupid is our "go to" B & B in Jim Thorpe. It is decorated, well, with "cupids" in a Victorian style. It has antiques from around the world. There is a little upper porch overlooking the street. Each room is unique. Sheila cooks scrumptious breakfasts, with items from her garden (which has a lovely sitting area), such as... More

This was a last minute getaway and we were very lucky to end up at the Guilded Cupid. Sheila and Bob were gracious hosts and provided us with lots of good advice on enjoying our time in Jim Thorpe. They were warm and accomodating. The house is old and charming with lots of period antiques and quirky features. It is... More

Steps away from the downtown with onsite parking. We stayed in a comfortable and quiet room that needs room darkening curtains. As expected, the Inn is old and worn and oozes charm. Highlights are the fabulous innkeepers Sheila and Bob, their hospitality and their wonderful breakfasts. Would stay there again.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights in late February and it was perfect. Sheila and Bob were the nicest people, and made us feel very comfortable. They were always good to talk to and had good suggestions. The breakfasts that Sheila made each morning were definitely a highlight. They were beautifully presented and just delicious. We were... Not the worst place but not the best either. Sheila and Bob were nice and hospitable but the B&B was just lacking a little bit. Meals were good. I would recommend bringing your own shampoo, conditioner and soap.

Darryl, We are sorry for you disappointment in our Inn. Yes she is old, and yes we are doing our best to bring her back to true form. Our winter luxury robes along with our 'Made for Us" soaps, shampoo and body wash, actually help us stand out in the "Green accommodations". there were also a top brand of body... More

This was our first trip to Jim Thorpe. We were pleasantly surprised of the rich history and charm of this town. We picked the Gilded Cupid based on other reviews on this site and I have to say we made an excellent choice. Sheila and Bob were warm cordial hosts that made our stay very enjoyable. We felt like we... More

We stayed at the Gilded Cupid for six nights. Sheila and Bob couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. We were in Jim Thorpe doing some family history research as my family lived in Mauch Chunk in the mid 1800's. Sheila even offered to put us in contact with an historian. We stayed in Bev's room which was very comfortable... More

My husband and I spent three nights at the Gilded Cupid and we could not have chosen a more lovely place. Sheila makes you feel special and as if you have always known her. She and Bob are interesting, helpful, warm, funny, and just plain good people. The B&B is full of old antiques they have collected and decorated the... More
