To have lunch @ "The Heads" Hotel is a delight on all your senses. From the gorgeous view of the calm tidal waters of the Shoalhaven to the sights of the Seven Mile Beach dunes & wave action, to the freshest sweetest "flattie" tails, to the sights of a plethora of seabirds wading on the sand flats below to the... Good old style pub accommodation. Great food and friendly atmosphere. Shoalhaven heads is one of those quite little beachside villages that has not been discovered by the masses but is very close to popular locations such as Berry and Gerringong.

Have been coming here for years on summer holiday and unfortunately food and service quality is not as good as use to be and we are in no hurry to return. Renovations are average. Such a shame for a great family location. Could do so much better. Would not call it the best fish and chips on the south coast... More

We drove past and decided to have lunch in the beer garden overlooking the water and discovered that there was not only dog water bowls at almost every table but there was even a dog bed! The flathead tails were delicious and we will most definitely be back to stay in the dog friendly rooms.

We recently went to the 'Heads hotel' for trivia. What a great night out! We had beautiful food - I had a pie with vegies for such a great price, and tasted delicious. They also have a $15 roast on sunday that is huge and beautifully cooked. The staff are very friendly and helpful, just a great place to visit.... More

Paid $130 for the worst room we have ever stayed in. Carpet was ripped, torn and stained, ceiling had mould, the tiny double bed was against a wall. Looked and felt like a prison cell and desperately needs updating. Very noisy with no sound insulation. We gave it one star because breakfast was good and the room was clean.

We have stayed at the Heads Hotel before but this time we were a little disappointed with our room which had water damage on the ceiling and smelt damp. The carpet had a very large stain at the end of the bed and there was no sink in the bathroom. The linen and towels were white and clean with no... More

Stayed here randomly en route to Sydney for Lions test. What a find! Friendly welcome, excellent food and beer, room clean and spacious, good rates and an outstanding host Colin Waller. It was probably one of the most memorable stays of the whole trip having had a very lengthy and entertaining evening in the company of the host and a... More

We stayed here on the way to Sydney from Melbourne during the Lions rugby tour. One of the last decent place on the coast to stay before Sydney. Very friendly welcome. Excellent food. Great staff. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Very good value. Will definitely stay here next time in NSW.

A really great little pub. The staff are people and dog friendly and the outdoor seating was just what we were looking for. They have dog bowls available and the staff were lovely. We'll definitely be back when we come through the area again.
