This is a most delightful stopover in Scone. We have stayed there a couple of times now and it is now under new management. A delightful family from Germany. As you can imagine it is spotless. The restaurant was excellent, especially the cooked oysters! There is a little road noise but not serious. There is also a much underused swimming... More

I stayed two nights at the Airlie House Motor Inn. The accommodation was booked for me by clients. I agree with other reviewers about the external appearance of the motor inn. Having said that, I believe the current owners have plans in place to make changes. Check in was efficient and friendly as you would expect. As I arrived at... More

We are visitors to Australia and have been on our way from Sydney to Brisbane. We have chosen the New England Highway rather the Pacific Highway because of the scenery and the landscape. Without planning where to stop on our way to Brisbane we came into Scone late afternoon. The motel with the big historic home stead on its property... More

I stayed at this motel for the first time as my usual motel in Scone was booked out. On ringing the motel, I was advised that the only rooms available were singles (double bed with a single bed) for the rate of $125. I booked the room after reading reviews. On arrival, I was told the rate was $135, however,... More

We stay here regularly (up to 10 times a year) and it is a clean and comfortable motel. It is a bit dated but the rooms are fine. It's better than average but struggling to achieve very good (strange trip advisor ratings, what's wrong with good?). If you need to stay in the Scone area it's worth a try and... More

One night in December on a long journey down the New England Highway we stayed, a warm welcome, room looked tired and well used, a good evening meal cooked and presented well Following morning after a fitful sleep in part due to the 35c temperatures and very noisey air con unit a wakeup call from 1 dead cockroach 1 live... This is a comfortable and very well run motel. The food was excellent. My problem with the air conditioning was solved promptly. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The original building has a lot of character.

A good choice for an overnight stay as lots of motels in the Scone, Muswellbrook and Singleton area are on the main highway, some very close to it so must be noisy. Although this motel is still on the highway it is set back and we had a quiet night in a modern room with a lovely $9.90 bacon and... More

We spent one long night at Airlie House in a twin room. It was very noisy, not so much from the traffic thundering by, but more from the 'reverse cycle air conditioning'' which hardly heated the room on a cold winter night. When air conditioning is advertised we expect it to work efficiently, maybe a solution when travelling in winter... More
