Travellers usually give a wide berth to hotels located on main highways. In this case, there is no need to worry about traffic noise. The rooms are large, and well appointed. Access from your car is by the "back' door, with the "front" door leading into the large central courtyard which has lawn, gardens and pool. The rooms at the... More

The motel is very clean. It has pretty big rooms which are all brick to which filters the noise from the busy highway. Ideally located for a stopover with service centers located across the road. I have stayed here many times and I haven't found a reason not to keep returning.

It's a motel, park by your room. Just a little back from a main road, but perfectly quiet. Spacious, comfortable room. Nice pool set in pretty garden. Cold breakfast was OK, if not outstanding. Hot breakfast at extra cost. Pleasant and helpful staff (directions for example). Computer terminal in the lobby, no need to pay for WiFi. Dinner not the... More

I have driven past this majestic looking motel for years...finally stopped in. Rooms were very spacious, comfortable and clean. The bathroom are a little dated but very clean and ample supplies for the visit. Rooms open up onto a spacious and beautiful garden area equipped with pool, fountain and restaurant. We ordered take away from the local chinese restaurant....who couldn't... More

The staff are very good, the room is large and comfortable that came with a continental breakfast. Some of the fittings are dated and minor damages. The room was clean, bed comfortable. I've paid more and received less, I've also paid less and got more. Don't expect a Dimond. The large grounds were well kept.

Room very big, clean and back door to lovely court yard area and pool. Restaurant had great menu. Parking right outside your room. Many fast food outlets in close proximity. Raymond Terrace about 10 minute drive with great shopping.

This motel is in a convenient location if you are travelling to the North Coast of NSW or Queensland. The motel needs some upgrading but this is outweighed by the enormous size of the rooms and their general cleanliness. Check in was easy and they even gave us "fair dinkum" milk (none of this UHT rubbish). As it was late... More

The scala restaurant was great for breakfast and dinner, the staff friendly, good service, decent food, the eggs Benedict for breakfast were great. However the hotel felt quite dated, the bathrooms are small and have not been re-fitted for a long time, no double glazing so there was quite a bit of traffic noise which interrupted my sleep. it was... I have stayed in this property since the mid eighties when it was new. It has been much better in the past. The large rooms are pleasing, as is the layout, but time has taken its toll and failure to reinvest in the decor has devalued this once great hotel/motel. The hard beds and noise from the occasional un muffled... More

I found the price to be over the top for such a run down establishment. The room while tidy was old fashion but it did the job. It is need of a face lift in both rooms and dining hall. I loved the indoor trees in the dining area although the food is also over priced for the quality.
