Spent 4 days at this resort and was pleasantly surprised - only 2 1/2 hours drive from Sydney - quiet and peaceful location. We felt very relaxed after our short stay. All rooms had a water view - there was the marina and a beautiful small beach and the Port Stephens view towards Jimmie's Beach. The hotel is not new... more

Our stay did not get off to a good start. In spite of us having email confirmation of our booking, reception had no record of it and were quite offhand. It almost felt like they were doing us a favour when we were told they would find us a room (this on a Tuesday and the hotel was clearly not... more

We stayed in room 105, had a patio that opened up right onto the beach. The price was (about 175 a night) very reasonable for such a nice location, had a gorgeous view of the bay. It was extremely serene and lovely, there is a walk behind that hotel that you can take and see wild koalas munching on gum... more

Beautiful spacious rooms. Resort is located next to marina giving it a lovely setting. Nice pool. Entire area is well maintained. A beach walk starts next to the hotel. Hotel restaurant is pricey. Would recommend eating in the village which has many good marina side restaurants. In particular Aqua Bleu. Downside is paid parking like many seaside villages. Negotiate hard... more

Lovely, clean, modern, spacious rooms. Large plasma TVs. A decent buffet breakfast was included in our rate. We stayed in the basic rooms, but they were so spacious and the outlook onto the marina was lovely to wake up to in the mornings. We enjoyed lunch on our own balcony overlooking the water. Good sized outdoor pool and the spa... more

Peppers in Anchorage has a lovely feel to it - whilst some things are past their prime (e.g. bathrooms), everything is very clean and solid, with a sort of New England character. Even in rainy weather, it is a lovely place to be - overlooking the marina, you can have a walk along the boardwalk or the white sandy beach.... more

Stayed for 2 nights over a weekend. No problem with an early check-in. Initial impression very favourable - hotel was quiet and very peaceful, at all times. Room was spacious but somehow seemed sparsely furnished - as if they ran out of money to finish it off properly or something - but with lovely views over the marina and across... more

Room was lovely, big with modern furniture and a balcony overlooking gardens. Staff and service were excellent. Good position for marina and walks but a short drive away from restaurants and town centre, although quite near a shopping centre. Breakfast was buffet with plenty of choice, evening meals were pricey though. more

We stayed in Port Stephens (Corlette is the actual town) for two nights on our way from the Blue Mountains to Brisbane. Peppers Anchorage was a very good choice and a lovely location. It appears that each room has a view - ours did - and a balcony or patio towards the water. The room was spacious and very comfortable.... more

Read reviews & agree the restaurant is overpriced, poorly run service & very limited menu & over fussy meals. Check the bill as they charge extra meals which were not ordered as we wanted to leave as it took 1 hour for our meal!!! Breakfast however was good- can order own omelettes, eggs whatever + you can make your own... more
