Last week was the second week this winter, that I elected to stay at the Guthega Inn. Gourmet options exceeded expectations for special dietary requirements, hosts, Nick and Jenny are the consummate hospitality professionals - proactive, considerate and about maintaining standards, views fantastic and access to the snow so easy. Saving the lounges around the fireplace is another bonus for... More

I've been coming here for four years now - Summer and Winter. The Guthega Alpine Hotel is one of the best kept secrets in the Australian Alps. The village is sleepy - so if you're into loud bands and the lunatic syrup brigade staggering home at 3 a.m. this is not for you. If, on the other hand, you're into... More

I won 2 nights accom here and I stayed another three nights on top of that. Right from the get go, the owners make you feel very welcome. ITs well worth going out of the way to get to. Its like coming home everyday. Its a very small cosy place, with seated restaurant for breakfast and dinner, with a set... More

We recently stayed here for a week with two friends and were very impressed with the hotel amenities and location. We could ski in and ski out easily and the view from the hotel was lovely. The hosts were helpful and friendly and recommended a great restaurant when we wanted to go further abroad for our evening meal. The service... More

For years we have made the Guthega Pub our lunch destination and have had plenty of large groups of friends enjoying some red wine, a great meal and beautiful view. However this year has been a shocker. What have they done in the kitchen? The food is now terrible and the service doesn't exist. The Guthega Pub has turned into... More

I have for a number of years been heading to the Guthega Inn for a warm après lunch or the occasional relaxed dinner meal, but after my most recent experience I shall always ski past it. It’s always interested me in how much a customer will put up with in terms of poor service, overpriced food or even the poor... More

For two decades I've been staying at a nearby ski lodge. My partner & I have always looked forward to a couple of quiet après drinks around the fire, a game of darts and a nice meal. We've also stayed there once always wanted to return. No more. We popped in after a hard days skiing & were gob smacked.... More

This pub is in a amazing location but unfortunately the management is terrible . The hostess is more suited to Fawlty Towers and certainly has no interest in serving the patrons. She is very rude to clients and very inhospitable

We stayed at Guthega Alpine Inn just recently as a family with 2 teens for a skiing holiday. This boutique hotel is right on the ski trails of Guthega and is in a most beautiful location. The hosts were Jenny and Nick. Our room No 1 , was a very comfortable family room with a queen size bed and double... More

We recently stayed at the Guthega Alpine Inn and it was brilliant! Nick and Jenny couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful, the room was lovely and the food was amazing. We spent our days skiing and our nights crashed out on the lounges in front of the fire - perfect! We had our four year old son with us... More
