I said in my previous review that if I stayed in Nowra again, this is where I would stay. Having now come to Nowra again, I am staying at the White House Guesthouse. Stayed in another queen room which was lovely with a beautiful ensuite. Happy to have made the decision to stay here again. Elizabeth J

The city of Nowra, located about 15 km from the coast, is the largest city in an area called shoalhaven. The approach has many industrial companies, and the traffic – the heaviest I had seen since Sydney (which was not bad at all) was flowing away from the city and heading back toward Kiama. I pulled into Nowra and checked... More

If you love heritage homes this is the place to stay. So much nicer and more room than a motel room. Our room was a very good size with a large ensuite. If we ever had another opportunity to visit Nowra, this is where we would stay.

This place is a beautiful place to rest before heading to hectic Sydney. This heritage house is located near the shops though it's closed on Sundays. the garden was well kept with pretty flowers. there is parking at the backmof the house for guests. Situated in a more quiet area, you can have a good night rest, beds were good... More

We stayed for one night and enjoyed the old world charm of this two story house. Ross is a friendly host. Our room was upstairs and was clean and comfortable. Airconditioning and large bathroom with good shower and mini kitchen with microwave included. Unfortunately the walls are rather thin and we heard a man snoring next door and the fridge... More

Within easy walking distance of the shops, restaurants, pubs and clubs the White House is a tranquil oasis. Much nicer than the motels on offer and similarly priced. Most rooms have an ensuite. There's always a friendly greeting by the owner Ross and his two long term tenants Lucy and Mojo ( two small dogs) and on cool winter evenings... More

If you're looking for a central location with genuine charm in a peaceful garden setting this B & B is ideal. Ross the owner is a hospitality professional and it shows. From the moment I arrived with Lucy & Mojo two King Charles Cavaliers giving a wagging welcome from their post on the wide verandah I knew I was in... More

Have been during Christmas break and quite enjoyed the stay. Hotel is operated by the family and is settled in a historic a building built in 1921. It is operated by a family who restored it with attention to every detail. There are a lot of antiques in the building so it resembled a museum to me. The only thing... More

We spent 3 nights in the White house. A charming place where I felt good, at home. Ross, our host was nice and helping. It was clean, hardly the first time I can write that after 2 weeks traveling in Australia.

Stayed in The White House in January this year and thought is was quite pleasant. If you prefer B&B with charm instead of roadside brick motels, this might be what you are looking for. My room was clean, spacious and the mattress was not the newest but ok. Breakfast was surprisingly nice and I enjoyed the atmosphere in the place.... More
