My wife and I have stayed here several times and it is always our preferred accommodation when in PortStephens. Sure it is not five star but location and value for money hard to beat. Staff friendly and helpful and meals in bistro good variety and value.

I recently stayed at the Seabreeze hotel and was very surprised at how nice the new rooms are. I would recommend to stay here as it is very close to the marina and all activities. The staff are friendly and the service quite good.

The hotel is old and worn. It is absolutely outdated. The bathroom is very small with a dry sink where you can wash your hands not even in. You can not put down a bottle or something else somewhere in the badamer. There is also no storage space in the room. The black-out curtains were completely perished and were stuck... More

The accommodation was better than I had expected having viewed other reviews. I had noticed that one had said new management and redecoration. This gave me a clue that this place was on the up, and I wasn't disappointed. the room that I received was enormous, and would probably been adequate for up to six people family. All facilities were... More

First off the service was horrendous. At first sight we saw the manager (Simon) being a complete jockey to his staff, there was absolutely no respect. As I went and tried to order a drink he turned around and said 'I'm busy'. The rooms were disgusting, there's a pub below and quite frankly it was the most overpriced place I've... More

Tossers are probably welcome at this pub also, but the casual homeliness of staff give it this rating. Two and a half stars is accurate, the price is appropriate and if you find anything to complain about then you're welcome to be pretentious about your accommodation choice. I'm informed new owners intend replacing the rattly air-cons with ducted, which will... More

We were invited to a birthday lunch at the Wharf Restaurant on the Marina at Nelson Bay. We walked from the Seabreeze to the restaurant and back - a delightful walk on a beautiful day. We were lucky - our room was ready when we arrived at ll am. Time to freshen up for the party -- as it was... More

This is probably the worst place I've ever stayed, don't think they,ve replaced any furniture since the 1960's. We surprisingly stayed here on the advice of the tourist office. This was the only time during our trip in Oz that we used the tourist office for helping with accomodation and after this we never used them again. we arrived in... More

Well, what can you expect when you pay almost 100 AUD/night in a double room? Certainly more than there. Room: I have never ever seen such a dirty hotel room in my life. The furniture was old, unfortunately not antique; the room was not spacious (I really have no idea how two people should manage to stay there), you could... More

Just stayed at this hotel and was very disappointed. Firstly our room was not cleaned then was moved to another room where the fridge door would not shut because the ice was so thick and they were not going to change the fridge till I insisted. Then the fan that took steam away from all rooms showers was on a... More
