The Nelson Resort is a nice hotel and just 3 minutes away from the Nelson Bay beach. The rooms where tidy and big enough. For people who just use the hotel room to sleep and spend their days outdoor this is a perfect option! Only thing I missed whas the free wifi option.

Wanted to escape the city with the family. The Nelson Resort served that purpose. Had to change rooms during the stay but the management gave us credit for breakfast as compensation. Thoroughly enjoyed.

I have stayed here twice now- the other reviews do not lie- sparkling clean , spacious refurbished motel style rooms, large plasma TV - fridge etc with king beds - perfect for your stay - location is excellent to wharf area/shopping centre

Fantastic location, very central in nelson bay and just a walk across the road to the marina & restaurants. Certainly not a resort, but a fantastic motel. Large rooms with a great view, very clean and exceptionally helpful and friendly resort. The pool is incredible, just sad we didn't have time to try the cafe. Would certainly stay again.

This was a great place to stay for a couple of days. The room was very clean & centrally located. There is off street parking and the location is relatively quiet. The rooms are renovated & now quite modern with flat screen tv & king size bed. We would stay here again if we re-visited Nelson Bay.
