We stayed one night with our dog. "Pet friendly motor inn", I initially did not have any high expectations at all BUT I was super surprised by its quality. Our room was on the ground floor facing outdoor swimming pool and with ocean view behind it. Room was nice and modern and clean and big. Well equipped kitchen, sleek bath... More

Enjoyed our two night stay here in a Premier Room upstairs. Queen size bed was comfy with crisp clean sheets. Loved the little balcony with two chairs and a little table and ashtray provided for smokers. Great views. Free Wi-Fi. The bathroom was small but clean, and the Eartherapy Guest toiletries were lovely and re-stocked daily. The pool was fantastic,... More

I stayed with my mother in the Executive Gully Suite (twin) overnight with our four legged companions. It was great for us. Its obvious that the owners are trying hard with clean and neat rooms and facilities and even their own veggie patch. Its near shops and beaches. We walked down the hill to the ice cream shop opposite the... More

We stayed at the Executive spa suite with our dog. It really met our needs as it is just right for us. Near the shops, near the beach, near the food joints etc. Indeed, convenient. The staff are friendly and approachable and readily available for your requests.

To put this review in context, it's important to remember that you are in Narooma, a very small town on the Southeastern coast of Australia. You go to Narooma for spectacular views of the ocean and for a quiet retreat away from the big city. You don't go there for sumptuous five-star amenities. With that in mind, The Whale Motor... More

We were at theWhale for three nights. The situation and the room was lovely. On the first night we ate in the restaurant and the food was great but we were overcharged $30 for wine. Next day problems with towels and supplies for the room, reprimanded for leaving a pair of pyjamas on the bed which apparently prevents staff making... More

This is my third visit to this lovely facility and I love it more each time!! The rooms are large - the bathroom is large and the shower is hot & constant with excellent water pressure. It is doggie friendly but there's not a sign of a dog hair or an odour. The bed is warm and very comfortable; the... More

We stayed at the Whale Motor Inn,probably the best place to stay in this small seaside-town. The motel is older but the room (#14), on the second floor, was clean and well furnished with a decent workstation and good internet connection. The room was small but it had a balcony with a patio table and 2 chairs overlooking the sea... More

As a business traveler, I stay at a lot of hotels and motels around country NSW, but this is one of my favourites. The restaurant would have the best standard of food that I have ever encountered in rural NSW, it truly is fine dining, the chef is always coming up with interesting and delicious flavour combinations. The Whale is... More

We were lucky enough to get allocated a recently refurbished double room on a winter’s Monday night having only booked a couple of hours earlier via phone after discovering their advert in a travel guide. The bedroom was separate to a living area like a mini apartment. The décor was comfortable and modern with a hint of a 1930’s influence.... More
