My husband and I stayed here just for one night luckily unlike previous reviewers we were in a very old room with noisy air con and a bathroom that desperately needed updating. It was cheap but we have stayed in other motels of a similar price but in much better condition.

This motel is obviously being managed by new owners....hence the change of name and refurbishment of the rooms. We stayed only one night as we were attending a funeral. It is an older motel but it has been nicely renovated by some friendly managers/owners. The room was fresh and welcoming.....very clean and roomy. The rate was moderate. We had a... More

Just what we were looking for , a nice place to stay almost in the city centre. The room was spacious and had a view of the mountains. The staff /owners were very helpful. Bath room could do with an update however but still highly recommended.

We booked two rooms for last Saturday; they provided a DVD player on request for our little grandsons. We found the rooms a little tired, but very roomy and functional, the beds were comfortable, they supplied coffee, tea and water. The manager on side was very approachable and friendly. The location is very handy to town, restaurants, shops etc, all... More

The motel is situated near the main shops and restaurants within an easy walk. The rooms are a good size with aircon and space for bags and clothes. The facilities are a bit tired but clean and seem to function OK. There is limited undercover parking and it is quite a hike up the stairs to the top rooms. The... More

Arrived at 10pm on a Friday night, reception was closed but the owners are always on site. They came down and opened the office, felt so welcomed the moment we walked in, they were lovely. We were checked in super fast and opened the door to such a spacious room... the building is very old and tired BUT everything was... More

Now the Econolodge - we had a great overnighter here this weekend. Although it's an old motel it's been updated with modern bedding, curtains, a fresh lick of paint & wall mounted flat screen tv. There's even an offer for a fresh coffee at reception to be delivered to our room. They've managed to retain the old wood cladding in... More

Without advance booking, the friendly and efficient managers quickly completed paperwork and I offered a viewing before taking the room. Room was perfect for my needs and had an amazing view of Mt Warning. Cleanliness was excellent, and although this is clearly an older building, the fittings were modern and well maintained. Staff were really welcoming an offered excellent advice... More

This handy motel has seen better days but is very comfortible, spotlessly clean and offers great service. It is well situated with excellent views of Mount Warning. We both felt that it was good value for money.
