Lovely old Federation house, with 5 guest rooms. Great decor from yesteryear, with lots of character. Large rooms, and great common sitting areas in the lounge and sunroom. Very quiet as well. Comfortable beds and pillows, and rooms are all centrally heated. Breakfast included 7 different hot cooked options to choose from. I tried the English muffin, with ham and... More

What saves this property from an adverse review is the hospitality of the owners and the wonderful breakfast. The property was somewhat hard to locate and the signage could have been better. Had I not booked ahead online I would have driven into the property thinking it had been long abandoned. The yard was a disgrace. On one section of... More

The outside may be a bit 'shabby', but that's the only drawback. The location is good and there's off street parking. The hosts are wonderful and the rooms immaculately clean, large and comfortable. There's plenty of room to relax and you're invited to make yourself feel at home. Guests have access to a small kitchen and the breakfast is delicious.... More

My wife and I were up for a wedding and stayed for 2 nights. Really enjoyed the ambiance of this lovely old house. Tina and Brian are exceptional hosts who really enjoyed sharing their experiences and guided us to the sights around town and the area. Fitzroy falls is a must see - west wall walk is to die for.... My partner and I spent just the one night for our anniversary.. A.pleasant nights stay with clean well appointed bedroom, bathroom and eating facilities. B'fast was fine, very filling and hosts were pleasant. Possibly just a little overpriced. We later played golf and discovered that the local golf club had a very charismatic guest house which provided a beautiful atmosphere... More

We stayed 4 nights in this charming old house. Our hosts Tina and Brian were friendly and helpful. When we after we arrived we were met at the door by Tina and welcomed to Heronswood. After we put our cases in our bedroom Tina ushered us into the communal living room and bought us out a welcome afternoon tea on... More

We only stayed one night for a wedding but were very happy with our choice! The decor is a bit dated but the old house has plenty of character and the rooms where quiet. The owners are incredibly hospitable and a real highlight was the breakfast in the morning. I didn’t even realise that breakfast was included and when it... More

A lovely house, with great outdoor seating, and above all the friendliest owners one could wish for. Fantastic breakfast, and the convenience of a small kitchen for extras if required. And above all, although it is not recommended that one leave stuff behind, Tina and Brian are not at all judgmental about it, and will post my shirt back!

A nice place to stay with a generous size room. Outside was a little overgrown but inside was lovely. Quite a special breakfast - try the Highland scramble!

On arrival we were shown our room and while we settled in the owners, Tina and Brian, prepared a tray with coffee and biscuits for afternoon tea. This set the standard for the excellent service we received throughout our stay. Our room was very clean and spacious, with a king size bed (very comfortable), large wardrobe, dressing table, bedside tables... More
