The room was far to hot during the night and at midnight you have to contact the reception to have it lowered so you open a window, with no security on it. Shower pressure was very poor and the head leaked. a child was in the dining room in the morning who was touch every piece of cultery and crockery... More

I found this place quite disappointing for a couples weekend. Would be ok for an oldies group golf weekend. The room was quite cramped and had an strange pull out door into the bathroom. I ordered a beef and mushroom pie for dinner and it came out in a ramekin with a blob of potato to one side of the... More

After a 8 year absence we returned for one night stay and 2 rounds of golf. It was very sad to see how the property has deteriorated. It is truly tired. The service was poor and the food average. In defense of the staff it was obvious the numbers have been reduced. The golf course was in very bad condition... More

We were staying in the area and decided to eat at the Dormie House restaurant as we'd read the reviews on this site and thought it worth trying as dining options are limited in the area. I must say, I think the reviews were a little too glowing. While I love old world charm, this 1930's decor was, well, a... More

Apparently, "Dormie" means "sleep". It is a match-play golf term, which suggests that a golfer is in such a comfortable position, s/he could relax or sleep and still win the match. Well, we weren't at The Dormie to play golf, but to have a good night's rest and a good breakfast to start the next day. We had both and... More

Having gone on a golf package and had a great time 8 months ago, we wondered if it would be as good the second time around. The verdict of our group of 8? Great location; great golf; friendly, helpful staff; plenty of well-prepared food; unbelievable value ...... The place is a delight and we'll be 3rd time visitors.

We didn't play any golf on our visit to The Dormie House so perhaps that would make the stay worthwhile. Seems to be the main reason why other reviewers gave it 4 stars and while our stay was poor, it wasn't terrible so I can't give it 1 star. Upon arrival, the young lady at the 'reception' (it's a small... More

If you love golf & want a break from the busy fast city life, then venture down south to Moss Vale & Dormie House. No doubt you need to combine golf with your visit to make it special and worthwhile. The standard room we had was just that - very standard. It's an old building with lots of charm on... More

Just a one hour drive from Liverpool, Sydney this is accommodation in fine style at a very reasonable price. A heritage building and offers character and gorgeous grounds set on a golf course with access to the golf club and services. The rooms are smallish but very well appointed with an ensuite, flat screen TV and fridge with tes/coffee making... More

Stayed over night. Wonderful feel, lots of wood and 30/40's charm. Every thing in good condition, not luxury but very comfortable. We booked into the standard double room, so only had a double bed in a smallish room. I believe the Queen rooms are bigger, but the wotif price made it an absolute bargain. Food and drink very reasonably priced... More
