Food was very good and closely follows the menu at Padstowe in the UK. Started with the warm shellfish platter to share ( fair amount for 2 or 3 or even 4 to share). Two of us then had the fish pie which was excellent - good variety of seafood in a terrific sauce with a grilled breadcrumb / panko(?)... More

We had the pleasure of staying at Bannisters and a pleasure it was. This was obviously an old motel at some point but the quality of work and restoration is great. The hotel is quiet, comfortable and boasts a Rick Stein restaurant. Staff are great , pool and pool bar very nice too, great ambience, loved it will definitely try... More

We loved our two night/three day stay at Bannisters. The room was wonderful, the pool beautiful, the staff lovely...... Really we couldn't have asked for much else! We really appreciated the unexpected room upgrade too! Unfortunately the main restaurant was closed for dinner, but I can highly recommend the pool bar for dinner (they do great cocktails too). We couldn't... More

All I wanted to do when I got to the Hotel was rate it with a 5 but i think they fell just a tad short. It really is a good hotel and I'd highly recommend it but there are things to look out for. The view is excellent and the rooms are both spacious comfy. I stayed in the... More

Dear leon C, Thank you for your review and providing us with some feedback from your stay. I am pleased to hear that your family enjoyed your time with us and were well looked after by our staff. I won a photo competition on Instagram to win a 2 night stay here at bannisters point lodge!...it included a penthouse stay of our choice and I chose the terrace. It comes with it's own outdoor pool, and was perfect for us. It does have limited ocean views which we knew. Bannisters were very welcoming, helpful and accommodating to myself,... More

We came down for our tenth anniversary and had a great time. The bed is super comfy and the staff were happy to find me pillows I liked as I am allergic to feathers. Everything was clean. Brekky was very nice, but I felt it a bit excessive that we were charged extra for coffee. We paid a lot to... More

Just back from two gorgeous nights at Bannisters to celebrate a significant wedding anniversary! It's been many years since we went to the South Coast and while the drive was a little longer from Sydney than I remembered it was scenic and we enjoyed a short break in Berry. But the moment we arrived at Bannisters... we were able to... More

We stayed for two nights at Bannisters on the weekend past. We had a nice time and the experience was pretty good. Our room seemed likely to have been a renovated motel style room in the past but the furnishings were great, if the room not 5 star. The mini bar felt a little amateurish - we did eat the... More

My wife, 3 month old son, and I stayed at Bannisters for 5 nights recently and we had a lovely time. We booked into the Penthouse (room 32) so we would have a little more space as the room has its own plunge pool and large deck which allowed us to stay in our room with our son throughout the...
