Stayed for one night with my partner. Room was clean, average, all the things you need for a good night stay except no shampoo or conditioner. Downer was their wasn't a main light in our room so you either had to open up curtains or if you're a woman and use make up, bring some form of extra lighting at... More

Budget Motel usually means 1970s or 1980s building with various attempts to "modernise". That appears to be the case with this Motel, unfortunately they have not achieved modern means of heating or cooling. The Electric Strip Heater above the bed might be effective but the Ceiling Fan although cooling was too noisy for a person to sleep. Proprietors of these old... More

We paid a higher price as we stayed over the Christmas break, so it didn't really feel like value for money, however its regular pricing is a better reflection of its value. Very basic accommodation but friendly staff and clean enough for a road trip stopover. Bed was a bit hard, and there was no main light in the room... More

My son and I took a twin share room at this Motel for two nights. Although the room was sparse with no phone connection and central heating(only a small bar heater above on of the beds the room was only $79 a night, clean and tidy, with a walking distance to shops and restaurants in the town centre

We recently stayed at the Merimbula Gardens Motel for the long week-end in June (Jazz Festival). Malcolm (the host ) was very personable, helpful and courteous. The motel is budget, but very clean and well kept. Rooms are small but functional. The motel is very handy to and an easy walk to all of the towns clubs and amenities.

My wife and I recently stayed here on our drive from Melbourne back to Sydney. The owner, Milton, was very welcoming and a bit of a character. Whilst our room was fairly small, it was clean and had all the facilities we could wish for. The Motel also boasts great views and the outdoor table sets in front of each... More

As a last-minute getaway with my then-fiancee we didn't have much choice in what was available, but luckily Merimbula Gardens Motel pulled through. It wasn't the flashiest but we were on a strict budget while saving for our wedding so we were delighted to have a nice personal 6 day stay for less than $300. The rooms were clean and... More

The room I had was small, but comfortable for one person. The bed was comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was good. The motel is in a good location, since it is on the main road of town, but up the hill, and away from the traffic noise. The owner is friendly, and helpful.

This is not a new motel, nor is it expensive. For a single night, the compact room is adequate. The room was clean, had all the expected features like tea & coffee making facilities and TV etc and the bed was comfortable. But the lack of space could be an issue if you wanted to stay for an extended period.... More
