Had a wonderful 7 nights at Milky Way. Although not luxurious, the accommodation is clean and very adequate (full kitchen, fridge, cooker, king bed, wardrobe, shower, towels, beach towels, breakfast pack, lots of pans etc if you want to cook) and the staff are great. Milky Way is on a beautiful beach (though all accommodation would be good location wise... More

Although not luxurious, the Milky Way Holiday apartments are very comfortable and in an ideal location at the northern extreme of the island. The apartments contain all you'll need, including a backpack, torch and band--aids for those blistered feet! A breakfast hamper containing bacon, eggs, fruit and bread is a very welcome addition. The restaurant is open on Monday and... More

At the Northern end of Lord Howe Island are these wonderful holiday villas. I must say we are in love with Lord Howe and have continued to return almost yearly and these days we only stay at Milky Way It is so quiet and yet only 2 mins walk to Settlement Beach, so central to many of the walks and... First time visit to Lord Howe, very peaceful place. Accommodation is not the luxury one but very comfortable. Didn't try other accommodation on the island but this is one that I certainly will consider. Very relaxing. One minor issue is when I booked, the advertising say 'free breakfast' so I am expecting free breakfast everyday. On arrival they called it... More

My wife and I have just returned from a brief 5 days stay at the Milky Way Villas on Lord Howe Island, and we wish it were a longer stay. At Milky Way, we stayed in the Moorelli self contained apartments, that had a king size bed, ensuite, walk in robe and balcony. All guests are given a helpful starter... More

we have just finished a weeks holiday on Lord Howe at Milky Way . The villa was very tidy and clean with great access to Old settlement bay where you can swim with the Turtles. Milky Way was a good choice with an excellent restaurant open for dinner on Monday"s & Fridays. The food was FANTASTIC!! Best on the island... More

Surrounded by rainforest this family run villa complex is a stones throw from Old Settlement beach where we actually snorkelled with wild turtles - yes right off the beach. The self contained villas have everything you need and the family/staff are very friendly and helpful. Easy bike ride to everywhere on the island. If you want an active holiday (hiking,... More

We recently had a week at Milky Way Villas. The location is great, very close to the Lagoon, bushwalks and a short cycle into town. The staff were friendly and helpful and the pantry supplies were a very welcome starter pack. The one bedroom villa had plenty of room, a well stocked kitchen and a large walk in robe.

This was our first visit to Lord Howe and we chose the Milky Way for it's location, close to the beach and a short walk to the town centre. We were booked for a villa but were up-graded to one of the bungalows which offered a spacious lounge/dining area and a well equipped kitchen. The fridge was stocked with items... More

We had originally booked to stay at other accommodation on Lord Howe, but at the last minute tried to change to Milky Way and we are so pleased we did. Wonderful hosts (Andrea and her daughter) nothing too much trouble. Checked each morning to see if we needed anything to help make our stay more comfortable or memorable. Drove their... More
