Exceptionally friendly staff, fantastic food at the restaurant, comfortable rooms and beds, atmosphere was great. Was kid friendly and our whole family had a terrific time. I have recommended to all my friends and I can't wait to go back. Beautiful place and we all had the time of our lives. Best holiday I've ever had!

We enjoyed our stay at Milky Way, very relaxing. The location was good for accessing much of the island, but still being secluded. Milky Way is near Old Settlement Beach, a great, uncrowded beach for snorkeling. The turtles come in to feed on this beach. Accommodations were nice, not outstanding. Pleasant.

Milky Way is at the north end of the well-strung out accommodation in LHI. The plus is that you have a quiet beach within 100m, and mountain walks starting at the back door. We stayed here on a week of extremely windy weather. The accommodation was a high-point. LHI is a unique place. There are the residents who have been around for generations, the locals who are the resort workers, and the tourists. As a tourist you are the bottom of the pecking order. If you want to be close to the beach this is the spot. Many of the other lodgings were up a hill inland. Nothing is very far on Lord Howe but being able to walk in 1 minute to the beach is excellent.
