The Blue Diamond is the bar area of the hotel. During the day you can sit inside and look down over Black Beach and the fishing boats. On Friday and Saturday night it is very crowded with lots of young people out on the town. There is jazz every Friday night, but it is very hard to hear because everybody... More

This has a great view of the harbour in Kiama.lots of large windows so nice and light. Kids welcome and love running about and a lovely green for the to play on the only thing. The green is great but you have to be careful as cars can come up this small half circle to drop people off. Could do... More

My first time to Kiama with my family (including kids) was a short trip away from home. Thank god we didn't stay longer than 2 nights in this apartment. This expensive apartment promised everything. It sort of did, the Harbour view was beautiful in the morning and evening. However, privacy is an issue with the restaurants adjacent to you. We... More

Firstly the hotel seems to have just gone independent rather than being a member of the Grand Mercure chain. The name change seems to have been fairly recent as the in room dining menu still lists the hotel as being the Kiama Blue Grand Mercure apartments. The cocktail bar notes that as of the end of September that they cannot... More

All in all, a very pleasant stay. For reasons unknown I was upgraded to a king-size room with a huge bed and modern kitchenette...always a pleasant surprise. The furniture is ultra-mod and the room quiet, clean and comfortable. The location is lovely, just off a quiet cove on the coast of New South Wales (about 2 1/2 hours south of... More

We have just returned from an overnight stay at Kiama Blue. We are accor members so we used it as one of our free nights then upgraded to a superior room for an extra $20. The complex is brand new so very fresh and modern. The room was very large with lovely new decor. The room also had a great... More

My husband and went on a packagae deal as advertised by the tv show Getaway. I had read the reveiws and was a tad concerned, were my expectations too high? We arrived on the 18/7 and stayed til the morning of the 20/7. The night manger David was great and after asking if we could have an upgrade to an... More

This hotel is brand new. Some of the faults include: *There is no sign out the front so it was hard to find * the reception area is also hard to find * there is no where to put your bathroom to put your toiletries more shelf space is needed * The soap dish is a wire dish so the... More

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights 18/5-19/5/2008 - brand new and we did forward our comments to management. There was 1 coathanger in the wardrobe - we requested a couple more on day of check in - we were still waiting on our departure. Gorgeous room & bathroom - but not user friendly - you have to get... In summary; good quality accommodation (but partly due to its newness), fine location, great parking, some question marks over the value, some questionable design decisions, distinctly mediocre dining (generally) and internet connectivity. But yes, I'd stay here again. Kiama Blue's located in a mostly residential area just across a street and a park from the ocean, and a couple of... More
