During a work assignment in July we spent one night at the Pioneer Motel Kangaroo Valley, we did not have a booking. On walking in we were warmly welcomed and accommodated with a lovely spacious room which was clean. We arrived late and left early. The motel is perfectly situated in the middle of the little town. Would certainly return.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will certainly be returning. I can not fault this place for position, the room we had #9 was wonderful, loved having a table and a mini kitchen, the lounge was comfortable, the a/c was a challenge and would not heat, but after going to reception, we had a lovely young man come and re-... Never, ever, ever again. This place forgot to service our room, forgot to change the wet towels. When I asked why, the poor excuse from the receptionist was, "I knocked on your door and there was no answer". How could we answer when we were out for the day. The also did not want to help or offer an apology.... More

We (4 friends) stayed 1 night at this motel, rooms 3 & 4. Positives are: Nicely decorated & clean, underground parking, mini kitchen with table & 4 chairs, a sofa, flat screen TV, air/con, electric blankets, handy to many restaurants & the hotel is directly across the road. Only negative the pillows have had their use by date, very hard... More

Stayed for one night with a group of cyclists. Rooms are large and spacious with mini kitchen, and great showers. Outside a little jaded (watch the slippery paths in the rain) and pool could do with cleaning up. Though as it was very wet we wouldn't have swum anyway. Good value for money compared to many other places in Kangaroo... More

Had a wedding in the valley and family booked this motel. The room was large with a sitting area and mini kitchen with table and 4 chairs. Now that we have a baby it was even better that there was a microwave in the room (which was very unexpected). Was fairly quiet at night and comfortable.

Lovely little motel in the heart of Kangaroo Valley town. Lady was very accommodating as we arrived early to freshen up before family wedding. Our room was ready, neat, clean & quiet. The little extras make a difference (milk for coffee!!!) and the bed comfortable. Easy stroll to shops, cafes, walks & bridge. Completely private with own little courtyard. Really... More

Stayed here for a weekend for a family wedding in the valley. Very comfortable, clean and peaceful right in the middle of town. Lovely to stroll to the bridge and look through all the little shops and enjoy coffeee and breakfast.

My family and I stayed at the Pioneer Motel for three nights and only departed this morning. We had a wonderful stay in a large and clean two-bedroom suite, which was quite comfortable. I have read that they had a bird problem in the car park but I can report that this has been resolved through a humane method of... More

Only in Kangaroo Valley for short time on way to the coast so the motel was the ideal spot for us, on the main street opposite the pub, among all the shops and cafes. Booked over phone as don't seem to have website/online booking - only knew about it as had been through Kangaroo Valley before - which must mean... More
