My husband and I stopped at the Gabriel on our way to Tassie. It was very clean, comfortable and exceptionally well priced. The owners appeared to be fastidious about all the little. A very good start to out holiday!

Nice comfortable, spacious room and bathroom, spotlessly clean everywhere. Great location right in town centre - it's a very quiet town, away from the freeway. Short walk to Services Club, and everything else in town. Highly recommended!

We have been stopping over at Gundagai for the past sixty years. It is worth researching some of its rich history from 1882 flood (did I get the year correct) to the old wooden bridges that used to carry trains and motor vehicles. It is a lovely and quiet town. The Gabriel Motel built some new spacious rooms at the... More

Staying overnight as I'm driving from Sydney to Melbourne. - fast and efficient check-in with free wifi code offered up front - clean and tidy room & bathroom - convenient location with supermarket just next door and close to Hume Hwy - all the expected in-room amenities & comfortable bed In short, at this price point it's good value. I reviewed this motel about 18 months ago, and on a recent visit found that their standards were still high, in presentation and cleanliness. We stayed in a standard room which was perfectly adequate for an overnight stay. It is a pleasure to have crisp white covers on the beds in a small country motel instead of the usual floral... More

We stayed here last night, booking in over the phone. A standard twin room (queen and single). Lovely and clean, a well presented room. Very comfortable bed. Will definitely stay here again in the future. Perfect for a stopver on a long drive.

We stayed here on our way back from Melbourne, it's the perfect place for a stopover! The room is very sizey, especially for the price, we got our room off wotif and it really is value for money. It's right in the perfect spot for all the restaurants too. Great shower, great size room, had a television &a good aircon... More

The A/C was turned on before arrival and made the night in a clean room with family great. We were informed of the strict arrival time and made it with minutes to spare - the thought of having to forfeit $$ was expected, and unappealing none the less. Excellent value for money and we would stay again.

As most other reviews indicate, this is a good 3.5 star motel. Handy to RSL Club, shops and park; quiet, clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. For families the best things is that there are 2 room suites - one for kids and one for parents with TV in each. Sure the rooms aren't big or fancy - but they are... More

We were heading to the NSW South Coast for Christmas from Central Victoria, we decided to break up our trip in Gundagai. I called the motel directly to make our booking a couple of weeks earlier, and I wasn't totally convinced that the booking was recorded as there was no email confirmation or anything of the like, so a few...
