We were out of luck booking into our preferred motel in Gundagai, so I checked TripAdvisor while on the road, rang and booked the disabled room. The good : the room was very quiet, very clean and very comfortable and it is walking distance to a very nice Chinese restaurant. Oh! And there is free wifi ... but don't forget... More

I feel I need to correct some mistruths about what julnol had to say in regards to the Gabriel, This is a guest who claims to have spent TEN days at a mobility conference(longest conference known to man), which one must thinks then made her an expert in the layout of disabled hotel rooms. Our disabled rooms comply with the... More

We stayed here overnight while travelling. We were told that there were 2 types of rooms and the delux rooms (more money) had undercover parking. We opted for this. We were given a disabled room as we asked for a walk in shower due to mobility issues. We had covered parking but so did the guy who checked in with... More

Would like to thank Michelle R for choosing to stay at The Gabriel, Before I correct Michelle for her negative and misleading review, the guest had the offer to decline the accommodation before checking in without penalty. Would like to correct a few mistruths that Michelle has written. The standard rooms unfortunately don't have undercover parking. If available the customers... More

We had an unrefurbished room at the back. Clean, tidy, comfortable bed. Good rate. Very small bathroom and just enough room for the bed in the room with bedsides and sofa bed squeezed in. Advantage is that it was furthest from the road do it was quiet. Park right in front of your room like country motels do. Woolworths almost... More

After coming through here at Easter time from VIC highland country and recommendations from trip advisor - we were not disappointed. Manager was very accommodating and friendly. Make sure you aske for rooms 11 and 12 at the back of the motel as they have an undercover car port to park your bikes under. Great shower and bed.

We stopped here for one night while driving from Melbourne to Sydney and we were positively surprised; this place had very good price / value -ratio! Our room was very clean and comfortable, we had free wi-fi and parking and staff was friendly. There is a Woolworths supermarket just next door.

Decided to book into the Gabriel motor inn after reading reviews on trip advisor. It was located in a great spot on the Main Street and was nice and quiet. The room was comfortable and tidy. The shower pressure was terrific. Plenty of room to put all of our gear and they let us park our motorbikes undercover. The supermarket... More

First impressions are important and this motel's first impression was excellent. The gentleman in reception was friendly and helpful and gave me a mini router in case I had issues with the Wifi, which is above what normally occurs. Fresh milk instead of long life for tea and coffee and a LARGE room which had a comfy sofa and small... More

The Gabriel Motel is what all country motels should be aiming for. Personable, clean and situated in the Main Street of Australia's most iconic town, the town that inspired Jack O'Hagans famous song from the 1930's ' The road to Gundagai '. The Motel itself though is the real star in Gundigai's slightly rusty crown, unpretentious and homely with a... More

Stayed for one night on the way through to Melbourne. Standard double room. Very clean and with all the amenities we needed. Wonderful hot water for a shower. Walk to the RSL, supermarket or Chinese restaurant. Extremely quiet during the night. No room noise or road noise. Free wifi as well.
