We love this place. We book every year when we do the loop from Brisbane on the bikes. I find the place very comfortable. Bikes can be parked directly under the front/ rear awning. The view (when it is not raining) is brilliant. The rooms are large and comfortable. It may be a bit older but it is still a... More

After reading the reviews over the years, I have to agree as nothing has really changed Rather tired rooms and decor , Xmas in July food -for us -was boring but the older citizens enjoyed everything Breakfast was bain-marie boring -again, the older folks loved it However, the local muso was excellent and not too loud . My wife and... More

We just stayed for one night. Lovely setting with nice views from the outside area. Was nice to be able to sit and have an outlook after a day on the road. The hostess was unsure whether the restaurant would open that night, as very quiet. We didn't mind as had a great dinner in the town. Rooms are quite... More

We booked several rooms for a getaway work weekend. Rooms apart from bring outdated, weren't too bad except for the breakfast tray doors were accessible from the outside by anyone who felt like opening them - no key required !! The doors are big enough for an average size body to fit through- very poor security ! Very contradictory -... More

We stayed with our young children & absolutely loved the place! It's great value for money & breath taking views from every room! Kids loved the animal park & had plenty of things to keep them busy! The host, Lyn was lovely & restaraunt was an attraction all of its own! I think the place has been recently updated new... More

Well, my husband and I stayed at the Lookout Motor Inn when my first son was 3 months old. We visited again last month - he is now 17 years old. Nothing has changed, I think it still had the original toilet seat. It is such a shame there has been minimal upkeep. Too much to do now I think,... More

Great views were the only good thing about this motel, nothing like the website which painted such a glowing picture of the place. Owner was unsure whether the restaurant would be open, it was finally decided at 5pm that it wasn't going to open that night, so had to drive into town for a meal. Rooms themselves very basic and... The website made this motel sound wonderful. We couldn't get a meal at night because restaurant was closed because of a private function (5 km from town to track down something to eat, no cutlery/plates even if we wanted only toast), couldn't get breakfast to the rooms in the morning - only choice was to have a buffet b'fast in... This motel was a great spot for us and our two year old...very spacious grounds and animals to look at. Room was fine for our overnight stay...rooms are untouched 80s...there's nothing glamorous about them but beds were comfy, heaters worked brilliantly and the hotel is very clean and well maintained. Good value at $115 for all 3 of us, and... More
