So close but so far away, this was my second stay and it was brilliant. I would recommend winter months and rain on the the tin roof, it's just catching lovely. Plus there's a hot tub. Rooms on the lower level have a better view too but still amazing. Love.

Excellent surroundings, decore and staff. Unfortunately we were only able to stay for one night. Close to the town centre - went to the Byron Bay Brewery for dinner and then the Piggery for a movie. An overall wonderful experience!!!

My husband and I stayed for 5 nights as a little treat before we have our baby. It was so tranquil out there in the forest. You could hear so many different kinds of birds chirping away and there were peacocks roaming through the resort. It was nice to be a little out of town away from the busy roads... More

We had a fantastic stay at Azabu. Awesome location just 5 min down a stunning country road and it was so quiet. The staff were all really welcoming and friendly giving us some great local tips about what to see and where to surf. The room was immaculately clean with a beautiful Japanese theme opening out into the forest with... More

Azabu has much potential, but sadly misses the mark. Overall, it didn't fit my expectations of a 'luxury guesthouse/spa'; at similar places I've been greeted with herbal tea, calming music, and a spa menu. PROS - great location, set in dense forest. It's away from the busy-ness of Byron. - quiet. - vouchers for Byron Beach Cafe breakfast. Highly recommend... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are really sorry that your room did not get serviced. We are glad that you were able to get fresh towels from outside the Day Spa to use the following morning. Set out in a rare woodland acreage just out of town on the quietest country road in Byron, this very tranquil Guesthouse with tastefully finished rooms with great details and with private balconies opening up on to native forest full of birds, complete with in room hot tubs, and Jacuzzi and pool, great staff with loads of attention to detail... My girlfriend and I booked a queen spa room for 3 nights. The location is great, nice quiet area of Byron bay and close to the town. The most disappointing part of our experience was the room and customer service. The walls are paper thin, you can hear the neighbours doing everything. From walking to using the bath or toilet,... Thanks very much Bockchow for your response. Good or bad , we really appreciate people taking the time to give us feedback . I've only owned Azabu for 2 months and we are working our way through some major improvements but with that in mind I'd like to genuinely try to address your comments. Firstly I'd like to apologise. My partner and I stayed here for one night on our way down the coast. It was fairly easy to find, not to far from the CBD although I would have preferred it without the little dirt road, but that can't be helped. The room was a large studio size but very nicely furnished and the layout made the most... More

We loved it. It was secluded and peaceful and we loved waking up to a forest view. The heated spa was wonderful and the pool was kept beautifully. The sunken bath/shower had a nice Japanese feel and the linen on the beds was of a high quality. Being 5 minutes away from the shopping centre it was easy to drive... More
