Full ashtray on table in dining area. Fish and chips ($23) was 3 pieces of pre-battered, frozen box fish with undercooked chips and cold mushy peas. With perfect location. Just 50 meters to beach and 20 meters to nice restaurants. There is also a bar with live music just next to hotel. Really friendly staff. Rooms are big and some have view to Pacific. Rooms have also little kitchen. Hotel has a pool, but I didn't use it.

A must stop when visiting is the Beach Hotel. The atmosphere is very relaxing, the service is good although there can be a long wait at the bar if the place is crowded which appears to be most of the time. Great for balmy nights with relaxed beachy atmosphere. Very tasty meals came within reasonable waiting time, limited generic pub menu with not much to choose from though. Only other complaint was there was not a huge variety of bottled beers or ciders which was disappointing.

Great place but ruined by its pretentious staff thinking living the gratifies an attitude. Seriously - it's a holiday town - some holidays just last longer than others. Come nighttime the Bouncers = wankerville - even when splurging $300+ a night. Management should at least try and appease their guests - after staying elsewhere you will find much greater welcomings... More

Whilst the Beach Hotel has a perfect location in Byron that is about all that stands out considering the price in excess of $300 for a night. Splurging on a room for this price i wouldve expected better service, amenities & things like wifi that remains connected, newspapers, drinking water, toiletries & pay tv.

If you love a meal or a drink with a view then this is the place to go.The beach is only across the road. Nice hotel, very friendly and clean. Ocean view room a must, good mini bar for beach town. It is what it is on price but u get what u pay 4. Amazing pool walk to surf. Byron Bay is a true endless summer kinda place.
