Full ashtray on table in dining area. Fish and chips ($23) was 3 pieces of pre-battered, frozen box fish with undercooked chips and cold mushy peas. Hot Dog ($18) also had undercooked chips and looked like something that you would buy for $6 at a service station or take-away. It didn't even come on a plate - at that price?... More

A group of friends went to the Beach Hotel for a very relaxing lunch. This is only pub food but we found it of high standard and all our group of 10 enjoyed their meals. It is set in a layback and relaxing environment with views of the beach great on a sunny day. All in all a very pleasant... More

While the room was clean, the quality of the room didn't match what we paid for it. We were expecting a good view of the ocean in our "beachfront" room, but we could only see the pool, some trees and shops with a tiny bit of ocean in the gaps between in the distance. Overall, we were disappointed with our... More

With perfect location. Just 50 meters to beach and 20 meters to nice restaurants. There is also a bar with live music just next to hotel. Really friendly staff. Rooms are big and some have view to Pacific. Rooms have also little kitchen. Hotel has a pool, but I didn't use it.

A must stop when visiting is the Beach Hotel. The atmosphere is very relaxing, the service is good although there can be a long wait at the bar if the place is crowded which appears to be most of the time. We had a very good lunch with the price being reasonable. Would recommend a trip if you intend to... More

Great for balmy nights with relaxed beachy atmosphere. Very tasty meals came within reasonable waiting time, limited generic pub menu with not much to choose from though. Only other complaint was there was not a huge variety of bottled beers or ciders which was disappointing.

Great place but ruined by its pretentious staff thinking living the gratifies an attitude. Seriously - it's a holiday town - some holidays just last longer than others. Come nighttime the Bouncers = wankerville - even when splurging $300+ a night. Management should at least try and appease their guests - after staying elsewhere you will find much greater welcomings... More

Whilst the Beach Hotel has a perfect location in Byron that is about all that stands out considering the price in excess of $300 for a night. Splurging on a room for this price i wouldve expected better service, amenities & things like wifi that remains connected, newspapers, drinking water, toiletries & pay tv.

If you love a meal or a drink with a view then this is the place to go.The beach is only across the road. The cocktails are reasonably priced and delicious and the food is yum although expensive for pub food. There are bands on or a DJ every night of the week for entertainment. It's also a great place...
