Stayed here for a week in the end as its a great place to just chill out. Lovely beach is just 2 minute walk if that. Nice sheltered grassy area as well if the beach gets too windy. 6 bed dorms were good value for money, seemed cheaper than other hostels but offered the same. Beds were comfy. Heater kept... More

Very friendly staff here & ok place to stay. Good value, a bit out of town, rooms are fairly nice, clean & modern. We had a private room which was well appointed, a bit of noise outside but it all stopped around midnight. Good on site cafe & another opposite.

From the moment I arrived I knew I'd booked a great place. genuinely friendly service from arrival.....all the staff and there are many....terrific. Across the road from the beach....very comfy bed.....superb café with healthy and not so options (yum!)..and only a brief walk along the beach to town or their bus. At risk of raving I'm regrettably leaving tomorrow morning... More

Fantastic service right from check in to check out. We utilized the free shuttle bus to town and back again which we thought was a fantastic idea. The beach was just a short walk over the hill and then around a 15 minute stroll into town along to beautiful water. We booked a studio room for access to our own... More

As we stayed here for my birthday was splashed out and got a private room with en suite. You could have been fooled into thinking you were staying in a 4 star hotel the room was so good. However it was the most expensive hostel we stayed in. The facilities are great and it has an on site cafe /... More

Always wanted to stay here, and finally my daughter and I did! Had one of the best rooms (#41) at the back. It was large and quiet. No kitchenette in this one, but a spa bath and good king bed, so great for sleeping! Heating/cooling good, but lighting didn't give a warm atmosphere. The resort caters to backpackers, and the... Even though the rooms aren't exactly luxury, the exterior is really pretty and it about a 30 second walk to the beach. To get into town, you can either walk 10 minutes down the beach which is a really nice walk or they do offer a shuttle service to and from town for free at certain times. The staff are... More

This wouldn't be my top pick for a cheap hostel down at Byron Bay; the only reason why I stayed here is because we booked a hostel last minute and it was at a peak season (during Splendour in the Grass), therefore there wasn't a lot of vacant hostels available. Anywho, if you're looking for a cozy, affordable and you... More

Stayed here for a week in the July school holidays, in one of the brightly painted cottages at the back of the property. Loved everything about the place. Great location, 20 mins easy walk along the beach to get to town or 10 mins on a pushbike. The premises and grounds well presented and maintained. Great multicultural, friendly staff and... More

My boyfriend and I stayed in a dorm room here and thought the location was great. Right across from the beach, you can walk along the beach to the main centre in 15 minutes. The kitchen was fine however the counters were bizarrely low which was quite annoying, we did eat out most of the time though. The rooms were... More
