Great time here at Belongil. Decent weekly rate, and even extended a night at the same rate. Right across from the beach and walking distance into town. Good atmosphere and large enough kitchen. Treehouse restaurant next door has great live music, you can even enjoy from the hostel outdoors!

Pros -Reception were great with bookings (Mathilda especially) -Ideal location, beach is less than 60 seconds. -Rooms were good, beds were comfortable. Cons -Have to pay for WiFi -Common area didn't have a great atmosphere The kitchen was good but some of the hob burners didn't ignite and the hammocks were a neat touch but are not close to each... We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hostel, very friendly staff, the 4 bed room meant it was easy to talk to others, very spacious. The kitchen facilities were great, huge kitchen and lots of room even in busy periods. Only problems we found were that people did not seem very sociable in the common areas, which made us not... We stayed in a budget double room for three nights. The room was basic but clean and there was a tv. We liked the big kitchen, common area and bbq facilities. Belongil beach is 100m away and it is wonderful. The french blonde girl at the reception was very very kind! The treehouse cafe next door was not cheap, but... More

We stayed in a double room that was clean and had everything you need. Stayed for 2 nights doing the sunrise from the lighthouse and using the bikes etc. Awesome bush service going to town as well as advice on all the activities. Great place for a relaxed holiday in Byron Bay.

Been coming here for over 20 years, still great value, quiet, friendly and private access to beach make it a winner. Needed a fan heater in downstairs bedroom was only problem as it was cold at night, quickly fixed so very happy.

I stayed here on a solo trip to byron for 4 nights in a 6 bed dorm. I paid about $20 a night which was at least $10 cheaper than every other backpackers. I enjoyed staying here, normally i would opt for the centre of town, but it was actually better to be out of town because the beach which... More

I stayed here for 4 nights with my partner in a private room and wish we could have stayed longer. The hostel is a minutes walk from the beach and about a 15 minute walk along the beach into town. The facilities are great, really clean showers and toilets and a large communal kitchen and living area. The BBQ area... More

A group of us stayed for 2 nights over the long weekend in June. This was our second stay - the facilities are very clean and we have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The resort is in a great location straight across from the beach and just a short walk from the busy hub of the... More
