We ended up staying at Byron bay Beach Resort for a week. It is a 30 second walk to the beach and a 20 minute walk into town (or if you don't fancy the walk they run a free shuttle bus regularly which you can get). The kitchen is large and spacious and the communal bathroom areas were really clean... More

Yes, it's about a 25 minute walk to town, but the walk over the beach is absolutely stunning ánd they have a quite frequent shuttle bus. The atmosphere was great, hamocks everywere, lovely common area, big kitchen, spacious rooms and a 11 curfew which makes you able to sleep (if you want). The staff is great and, just like they... We stayed in a female dorm with was one of the best rooms we had stayed in before at a hostel and came with an ensuite. The kitchen and common room were cosy areas however were quite small in comparison to the amount of guests staying here. The location of the hostel had both advantages and disadvantages. It is across... More

I recommend staying here! Love love love this place! Great vibe, great people, awesome hangout areas, close to the beach. The rooms were nice and colorful, as usual it gets PACKED when everyone brings in their luggage but some rooms had like tiny closets and chairs and tables which made them really nice. The kitchen is big and nice. People... More

Maybe we were twenty years older than most of the customers – but when in Byron Bay it seemed stupid not to stay at a surf hotel and “feel the vibe.” (And to be honest there’s not much in the way of “boutique” hotels or posh corporates in Byron so you might as well go native.) We opted for en-suite... More

This beach resort could be a whole lot better if the staff were a little friendlier. We actually heard the shuttle bus driver say to his co worker that he actually might like he's job if he didn't have to deal with people. I thought this was very rude, it's because of us people he even has a job. Apart... More

Mg daughter and I stayed at Byron Beach Resort on July 2014. It was affordable, friendly, and the location perfect right across the road from an amazing beach and in between two incredible restaurants. We stayed in a studio and it was perfect. Thoroughly recommend this gorgeous place and of course Byron Bay is perfection

It would have been a nice place to stay if the night manager wasn't completely unreasonable. He was lurking in the shadows at night watching us like a creep, staring through our doors/windows of our accommodation, threatened us several times with "sleeping on the beach" and told us to start walking into town while we were waiting on a pre... Hi, thanks for your review and please note that the conduct you outlined was investigated prior to this reply. As such, it's important to point out that the night manager is onsite to ensure that the conduct of guests (after 11pm) doesn't in anyway affect the stay of other guests. This is whether they be staying in a dorm room... More

Loved this place, and the fact that it's a 20 minute walk along the beach into Byron Bay itself. Borrowed the bikes towards the end of the trip and wish we'd done it earlier. We enjoyed the 'separateness' of the location and the quietness it brought. Yes, the Tree House Café next door does have live music in the evenings... More
