A tranquil retreat! The Akoonah studio is lovely, bright and spacious. The property is full of trees, birds, frogs, echidnas, and every site has its own privacy. Thoughtful conveniences have been provided (olive oil in the kitchen!). Immaculately clean and unpretentious. Cathy and her dogs were friendly but unintrusive. Close to Byron but without the noise, schoolies and hefty price... More

A wonderful hidden hut in the middle of the rainforest complete with a hammock on your own private balcony. Went there to unwind from the city for a couple of days and it was perfect. The studio is bigger than expected, quiet, impecably clean complete with all mod cons. Best value for money I found in a long time. Would... More

A lovely secluded setting, quiet & tranquil. We spent a very enjoyable weekend here with our dog. Very comfortable accommodation with all the comforts of home. The owners (Leonard & Cathy) are great dog lovers, so your pooch will be most welcome. Short distance to Byron giving you the best of both worlds. Lovely bush walks right outside your front... More

Peace & quiet was what we were hoping for & that's what we got! Our 2 dogs were made so welcome & even had there own complimentary dog treat awaiting them! On the days we went off exploring the local towns it was no problem to leave the dogs in our cottage. The gardens are so lovely & the night... More

Away from the bustle and backpackers of Byron Bay central but still close enough to enjoy the area. Completely pet-friendly with no issues at all with us having our dog sleep in the cottage with us and happy for us to leave her there while we went sightseeing. Self-contained and a lovely setting.

Abbiente House is a large property set in acres of hinterland woodland. It has full amenities and tranquility. We and our dogs had a wonderful time, minutes from Byron, Bangalow and a host of beaches, a great destination. The gardens are wonderful and full of a variety of birds, apparently there are resident koalas but we did not spot them.
