Friendly staff that could not be more helpful. A lovely setting and you cannot go past the vegetarian platter value for money and pesto to die for... Beautiful rooms and clean restrooms... Ample heaters for a cold winters night..

After a long drive north we checked in close to midnight, greeted by Jack (a super lovely genuine guy and special mention for being so accommodating). Our room was quaint but when it's the last room in the house and the bathroom is literally next door, it was perfect. The Hotel venue itself is a big beautiful 1850's period building... More

This place is buzzing in the weekends, there is usually a band playing in the afternoon and ealy night. It is a great place to bring your kids, have a family meal and relax or have a boogie. It is close to a river where you can hire a little boat to peddle up the river.

Firstly I'd like so say, we stayed on a long weekend. It's a pub. It's busy. You'll hear noise. The bands are loud. If you're not prepared for these things, your stay will be unpleasant. However, keeping those things in mind, the stay was comfortable. We were prepared for those things I just previously stated so, the stay was great.... More

This is just a lovely, well run country hotel. The architecture is 1930's with pictures of dancing couples dressed in their finery. An elegant staircase from the entrance winds up to the guests quarters. The rooms are large with high ceilings, lovely rich thick carpet, french frosted windows opening unto a wide verandah. Comfortable beds with old wooden wardrobes and... More

Sunday arvo/evening always has live music. The atmosphere is good, and looks good for family's. We had lovely Bruschetta in the arvo and then stayed for dinner. All 4 meals very scrumptious. The only drawback, one had Bangers & Mash and got a very nice Salad with it. Fresh seasonal Vegetables would have been better with this dish.

A couple of times in the last 6 weeks or so, my mum, sister and I have had the need to travel from Melbourne to Byron Bay to visit our sick brother. On both occasions we wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of Byron to stay somewhere close by, but in a more relaxed environment. Hotel Brunswick... More

Some reviewers have commented on the noise from the bar downstairs. We stayed one night during the week and it was very quiet but could imagine that this may not be the case on busy weekends as the rooms are directly over the bar and dining areas and many look out over the very nice beer garden. Whilst the rooms... More

We Went to this place twice because the bar was excellent with a good selection of Beer on Tap. The Meals were a great value for the money and prepared well. All the locals seem to come here and if the locals congregate at a place you know it is good in my view. A visit here won't be a... More

I recently had lunch at the "bruns pub" with my nephew and his son. My nephew is a quadraplegic and the pub was wheelchair friendly. The beer garden has a wonderful atmosphere with the poinciana trees framing the area. Food, both men had porterhouse steaks which they said were wonderful (expensive for this area). When we have visitors, that is... More
