After reading other comments we were somewhat apprehensive about staying there(1night). We were in the Elm wing and found the room and bathroom nice and big. OK all the rooms opened onto the long balcony but it was nice to sit there in the sun and plenty of room - better than sitting in a cafe. The newly renovated dining... More

The location and setting is beautiful.Lovely gardens and outlook over the golf links. The newly appointed dinning area is great and the food including breakfast is well above average in fact is the best feature of this resort. The building we were in is old and very 1960`s .Several sets of stairs to get to the third floor.... a problem... More

Thank you for the positive review. We are really proud of the new F&B outlet we have, Hickory's Restaurant and Bar. It has really improved the Food and Beverage offerings, especially for breakfast as you mentioned. Just for future reference we have rooms available which do not encounter any stairs and would be happy to accommodate on your next visit.... More

We were due to travel to Vanuatu for two week holiday but due to cyclone Pam trip was canceled so decided to have a couple of day exploring south coast. We decided to stay here for couple of nights as it had a wheelchair accessible room. The staff were more than helpful especially Sharon in the restaurant . Breakfast was... More

Appreciate the review. I will certainly have maintenance look in to the door handle and ramps to see whether we are able to improve the accessibility of the room. I will make sure to let all of the team know your positive comments, especially Sharon. Thanks you More

The hotel is set in beautiful grounds looking over its golf course and the gardens are well maintained. We used one of the tennis courts very much enjoying the setting. Pre-dinner drinks on the verandah with the sun sinking in the west was a delight. However, some inflexibility from a couple of members of staff over the timing and dinner... More

Thank you for the fantastic review about our grounds. They are the pride and joy of our Gardener Theo, who looks after the entire property. In regards to the dining timings, at times we manage the bookings diary during busy periods to hopefully minimise the chance of slow meals. This is done for the benefit of all of our guests.... Upon booking we were told we had one of the larger rooms. The room was so small you had to go outside to change your mind! The room wasn't cleaned properly with marks on the table where the wine glass was, floor not vacuumed, glasses not washed properly and supplies in the bathroom not all re-stocked. We prepaid for breakfast... More

Thank you for the feedback, and I apologise for the ordinary experience with our breakfast product. I will make sure to pass the information over to housekeeping and the kitchen, as this is certainly not the standard that we pride ourselves on. Thank you More

The hotel has wonderful gardens surrounding a beautiful old house, however the service and room was disappointing. The room was small considering I booked a king room, nothing worked including T.V and phone. Their was no bath, the toilet wasn't working properly and there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom. Wifi is not complimentary and the charges are outrageous... More

I would like to start off by apologising for the events of your stay. That is certainly not acceptable when it comes to TV and phone not working. I will make SURE this is attended to straight away. Thank you for the feedback on the breakfast, with the new Restaurant build we have re worked our breakfast product which we... More

I was a little apprehensive about staying here at first because of some of the bad on Tripadvisor. We were originally booked to stay only one Saturday (7th March) for a wedding, but with a near due pregnant wife decided to make a weekend of it and drove up Friday. We stayed in the Elms Balcony Room and it was... More

I visited Craigieburn once again this time in the New Year. Service was excellent all round once again - did not disappoint. We stayed 2 nights in the Elm Wing Balcony Room which is a large balcony room that is shared with about 6 or 7 other rooms, others used it and it was a welcoming time to talk to... More

An absolutely beautiful place to stay. We only had one night but will definitely go back again. The staff are so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. As they were busy in the restaurant and so our meals came out a little longer than usual, they gave us two glasses of wine on the house, a free side dish... More

Wow what a weekend. Perfect weather and a perfect location. The hotel is old however it has kept a lot of its charm and beauty. Gardens are amazing with a cool little golf course. The restaurant looks new and the food is just absolutely tasty. Can't wait to go back.
