This is the second time I have stayed here. The receptionist is always very helpful and lovely. I like the space of the rooms and the view over the duck pond. The grass is always lush and green. I love the settings. Unfortunately one of the Bar staff was very rude to me last time I stayed. Yelled at my... More

Location of hotel is good for quiet country feel, Nice grounds and the lake makes for a nice backdrop. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable with all the necessary facilities, but is starting to get a bit dated. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful. We will stay here again next time we are in the Southern Highlands. Breakfast was in... More

Lovely place but the restaurant staff and food quality has slipped badly!! The customer service needs attention! We had second sitting at lunch, things were dried out and scarce - simply no customer service was offered! We were regulars but will not now go back for a while. Used to be very good - perhaps they will improve again....

This restaurant/pub used to be one of my favourites in the highlands, but sadly has deteriorated steadily on every visit. The staff are most unfriendly & barely smile, the Saturday morning staff, after parkrun, exceptionally below average! They have no idea how to make a decent coffee & are extremely disinterested & surly. Used to be so full of great... More

We stayed here as an overnighter following a family Christmas on Boxing Day. Whilst we were a little later than we intended, management called to ensure we knew reception closed at 7pm on Public holidays, and to arrange alternate reception (which was nice). The rooms a comfortable and have nice frontage onto a large-ish pond and surrounding gardens and ducks.... More

The atmosphere is lovely, it a gorgeous country setting however the dining is terrible. We were there for lunch and the food was very bland and almost like a fast food stall and there is a very disappointing salad bar with dirty utensils which I would advise you skip. Such a disappointment, this could be so much more if only... More

Stayed for one night to help break up a long road trip of the Southern Highlands. Did not expect to find a place of this standard in this area. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Room was very adequate, although a little stuffy on initial entry, but was well appointed, clean and had everything that we needed. Opening the rear... More

Great hotel. Staff were excellent and service second to none. Lovely country feel and personal service. Stayed for the Bong Bong cup and the evening at Briars after the cup was excellent. Great Party. Highly Recommended.

We checked in to this beautiful and spacious room with great optimism. Lots of good lighting which is often hard to find. It was lovely to have older style fittings which seem much more substantial than newer style to our thinking. Outside was a lovely lake, birds busy so we were well rested and relaxed when we went to dinner.... More

I was there with a party of 15 on a Saturday night for dinner and drinks. I thought a first glance the meals were overpriced. My daughter and I ordered the pork roast(sitting in the bain marie). All meals were served, mine came last even though it was in the bain marie and did not need to be cooked like others... More
